in game "options" there should be a field for that so you can assign almost any key available to any key you prefer

As far as I can see, and I am in NWN2, there is no way to change the quicksave key in options. So I was hoping for a work around in an ini file. I looked at the ini files and found the quicksave but all hotkeys are connected to a bunch of gibberish instead of easy to read key text.

Ive looked through the hotkey list multiple times in options but just dont see it.

I did a little hunting ... nothing conclusive, but "Action71=" in Nwn2player.Ini might be Quicksave. There is, however, also the file Keymap.2da, which has index #34 as QuickSave but with blank entries for the InputModes (probably corresponding to camera modes). I don't know what has precedence or what the values mean ...


- remember F5 also selects the fifth toon in your party. Am just tossing this out here,

Ok, thanks, I guess I would be happy with any other key than f12 because it also is causing steam to take screenshots

You can just change the Steam key; that's easy to do. It was annoying for me as well, so I mapped it to "Control + F12" or something like that, so I don't accidentally take any screenshots.
