I don't agree. There could have been Protheans working on that data on Mars prior to the invasion and then continued after. As to the other complaints I've seen like Lazarus most things like this in games and movies would not work in reality but IMO within the ME universe and the technology of that universe it is possible IMO and as for Synthesis that is the point it connects everything together. I truly don't see the issue.
