Earth is under attack! Good thing we were on Mars and found a way to stop the Reapers moments after!

Hey txgoldrush, you're kicking butt in here. Seriously, it's nice when someone besides me points out the hypocrisy and double standards people around here have about the first 2 games. You're also destroying everyone in this argument. Nice job so far.

Except why important information would be encrypted. Or if these plans were discovered earlier, why not one made a fuss. Nor why Eva waited until her cover was blown to grab the plans.

Oh yeah.... kicking butt indeed.

Also impossible is the idea that the Protheans could get it here since Sol is relay-accessable and thus would be cut off once the Reapers invade.

Weren't they studying the humans before the invasion, though?

Therefore, they knew about reapers before the invasion, and did absolutely nothing. Brilliant retcon. :wizard:

Absolutely nothing? Like Admiral Hackett partnering up with Liara to find the Crucible device and decrypting the data on Mars?

Sorry fact is humans did NOT have access to all the data on Mars.

Ah yes.
Instead of defending themselves, they put information about Crucible in small Mars bioresearch station and nowhere else, because OBVIOUSLY, humans are special, and protheans know about it. It was all their plan.
And that is all they did before reapers invasion, because reasons.

Wrong again....

Liara finds that the key unlocks THREE sites, one unknown, one that was erased, and one that Liara could recognize, Mars.

Ah yes, "twitter storytelling". A concept that something should be considered canon for a fiction, when it is not a part of said fiction. We have dismissed that claim.

Anyway, you missed the point completely, as always.
And point is - new retcon of protheans suddenly knowing about reapers before the invasion and doing absolutely nothing. :wizard:

and where did you get this false claim.....

Rememebr it took a long time for the Reapers to take out the Protheans.

"Twitter storytelling" or was it in the major comic releases this year?

You are choosing to ignore clear lore that contradicts your claims.

Pathetic.
If it is canon in Mass Effect, then you should point me where and in which game i can see that information.

As for you deliberately missing the point - why protheans did nothing when they knew about reapers invasion in advance? And still were surprisingly decapitated?
I know, i know. In ME3, Protheans are also retarded, as everyone else.

Comics should not be a substitute for having it in game. Niether is twitter or books.

However, in the game narrative, once again, Liara explains how she got the plans for the Crucible and how she worked with Hackett an dhow she got access to Mars...its all in the narrative. Or did you ignore her dialogue on Mars?

She even specifically said that Hackett needed her resources as the Shadow Broker, bridiging the LotSB DLC where Liara comitted to using her resources to help stop the Reapers.

Could it be.....to also deny the Alliance those plans and wait to do it when the Alliance is in chaos due to the Reaper attack? Sounds kinda smart.

Cerberus Daily News

01/10/2011 - Scientists on Mars Assess New Chamber in Prothean Ruins

“Controversy brews tonight as scientists on Mars assess the contents of a newly opened chamber in the Prothean ruins. The opening has been a dream of exoarchaeologists for decades, delayed by the many steps necessary to replicate Prothean code keys and crack the cryptography for entry. Critics say the Milky Way Foundation, which provided supercomputers for the cryptanalysis, could hoard any Prothean discoveries. Dr. Unira T'Lam, liaison from the Citadel Committee on Paleotechnology, says she's been kept in the dark. "Foundation personnel have orchestrated a security system that keeps out everyone except a select cabal," she accuses. "Anything could be taken from inside and we'd never know." Dr. Ilsa Warren, who heads the analysis unit, dismisses the allegation. "We've made it clear all technology stays in situ throughout the cataloging and analysis process, which could take years," she says. "Dr. T'Lam's fears would be more appropriate closer to the end of the decade."”

Where did that come from? Is it in the codex?

Cerberus Daily News. ;)
If you have some time, you should read it. Hey, maybe several elements of ME3 were foreshadowed...

Yes, because Hackett needed someone to find the obvious plans for a giant power source. The plans that would be the easiest things to find because that's the point of the plans.

Because its encrypted and the key is on Kahje which forbids explorers due to the reverance of their sites to the Hanar.

That defeats the entire point of storing the plans for a later race to finish it!

Scumbag Prothean: "Hey, I'm going to encrypt these galaxy saving files."
Other Prothean: "Isn't the point so that those apes that come after us will be able to build it?"
Scumbag Prothean: "Yeah, but I'm going to die so i don't feel like it."

Yeah, humans are special. Because reasons.
But they still must break encription on something vital to survival of all galaxy's races. Obviously, because reasons.

Oh wait, did you also ignore Mordin's loyalty mission in ME2 where he explains why humans make good test subjects? Or the entire lore where the rise of humans on the galactic stage was fast?

Ignoring? Really?
So, now you are telling me, that protheans put information about crucible into mars bioresearch station, and made it encrypted, so no one could ever access it, because of humans being genetically diverse.

So... why not introduce a virus that would destroy the plans after taking them and then maintaining cover to delay the Alliance longer?

It's stupid that Eva, who completely infiltrated the site, had to fight her way back in and then take the plans... that she had access to earlier.

Sure.
Now protheans knew that in 50000 years after their destruction there will be human Systems Alliance.

Wow, you're ignorance is astounding....you sit here, make claims without proof and then misread the argument.

The argument with him was why did Eva not make off with the data before the Reaper attack.

And you are ignoring that having those plans being encrypted goes against the idea of even having those plans there in the first place.

Not like encrpyting the plans would help if the facility was ever found, it would just be wasted from orbit.

and what if the plans fell into the hands of the Reapers?

Notice why Vendetta was hesistant to tell Shepard what the Catalyst was.

Well they already did, and what would it matter?

Catalyst: "Good, they are building that machine that will allow better plans than mine to come to pass. Nevermind why I myself can't build a huge honking battery like that, but I shall make them build it for me. Then shoot at it a bit to make it seem like I'm worried. Hmmm, yesss..."

That's always a risk. That's why you need to seed several copies of the plans same as Liara does in the Refusal ending.

Isn't the "encryption" the fact that it's in the Prothean language?

"Could it be.....to also deny the Alliance those plans and wait to do it when the Alliance is in chaos due to the Reaper attack? Sounds kinda smart." © txgoldrush

And then you said that they were encrypted by someone, presumably Cerberus(before it was even created).

Neither makes any sense, which is perfectly normal for someone like you :wizard:

More funny is, how hiding information about main element of the device defeats entire purpose of sending that information.
Logic? Who does even need that?

Well they had to find someway to beat them and his happens in many games movies and books where there is extremely convieant timing. This felt really forced though. But I knew they would have to do something like this
