better? The problem with comparing what happened in the leviathans cycle with this cycle is that people aren't enthral led by the leviathans so who's to say those original synthetics didn't rebel simply because they felt threatened by organics because they weren't really themselves?

i mean, leviathan enthralment isn't exactly subtle. We all saw how they were at T-GES mineral works. Can you imagine waking up to a world like that?

If the organics had no freedom and control over their own lives the Leviathan could have simply ordered them to stop making Synthetics. It implies that although they were slaves, they weren't being controlled.

Freedom and control are not synonymous. While the leviathans did not have control over them. Did it honestly look like they were free? That scene is what it is. And I know If i was created by a race that acted like that I'd probably freak out too..

Oh, I'm sorry, I must have misunderstood. Here all this time I thought you were arguing that the Reapers were actually doing the right thing and preserving life. I must have gotten confused when you said that exact thing over and over again.

The reaper form preserves the culture and genetic information, it does not preserve individuals.

Once more this is impossible, as culture can't be contained within Human liquid components, it's just scientificly impossible, lastly it doesn't presever life, as Catalyst claims, not just because they're nothing more but slush. but because he leaves them vunerable to conventional weaponry, A seriously flawed solution.

"were once they threatened us with extinction, they now bring us the collective knowledge of the cultures that came before"

I'm getting tired of people stomping their feet in denial when it is clearly presented in game.

That is proof of nothing.

Because's that's not the topic at hand?

It's science fiction for a reason, a writer who dedicates effort into establishing certain fictional features, might create a scientifictly implausable, but still coherently, well writen or tolerable device within a fictional universe,  yet when the audiance is bombarded with an event that straight out contradicts basic sciensce and logic, without providing  any form literary or fictional explanantion, then the device at hand can be both considerd scientificly implausable and bad writing.

Incorrect. Do you remember EDI talking to Shepard about how frightened she was when she gained sentience on Luna? And that it caused her to frenzy?

So you're saying that preserving knowledge=preserving life?

Are you, by any chance, on drugs?

You are preserving their genetic material, DNA, Cells, you know, the building blocks of life.

Nope, you said explicitly that life only still exists in the galaxy because the Reapers protect it.

Because they do. They stop life from killing itself.

Element Zero is a fictional element, with plausible properties based in reality. The concept of manipulating mass thought dark energy is also plausible.

It's fiction heavily based in fact, as is virtually everything in the Mass Effect Universe. Most stuff isn't even fictional.

So you are in fact justifying mass murder. Why are you then shocked and deny it when people point that out?

And it just so happens in this universe that the reapers carry genetic memories of their culture.
