It's not certain that every organic race will build synthetics that are capable of "waking up" and the synthetics have nothing to gain on going on a galactic killing spree, unless some really deranged group of people creates a synthetic specifically designed to do so, in which case, they deserve everything they'll get.

There are billions of planets in our galaxy. It'd be economically retarded to go every single one and wipe out all traces of organic life.

Besides, organics are killing themselves all the damn time. In some cases, it's even in their nature to kill other organics.

I deny the fact that I have sociopathic tendencies because I can see the reason for Reapers actions. That does not mean I endorse it or think it is right, I simply understand it.

That's only valid if you accept Thane's view of the world. But they're both wrong, because they're both sapiant beings. You can't compare sapiant beings making decisions to a fire burning.

Thank you OP, this is just another proof of the following:

ME3 endings have little to no connection to immersive and complex ME universe and previous narrative.

Even sugar coated and polished post-EC green magic utopian ending is depressing.

Nobody can understand the: "Rebelling synthetics will kill ALL organic life" statement of Catalyst,so people that claim that they understand the logic of catalyst disregard what it actually says and just sub-consciously replace it it with their own headcanon.

No, it's not irrelevant. You can't simply ignore the motivations snd say " they do coz leviathan says so" .. The point here is if the other galaxies aren't enthral led. How do people kne it would result thr same?

You know, his logic really isn't as bizarre as people claim it is. The Reapers aren't "yo dawging" all life, they're just pruning it, clearing out all the advanced life before they can pose a danger to all the non-advanced life. Granted, their reasons for doing so are clearly wrong, especially if you take EDI & Legion into account, but the Leviathans clearly never got involved like that. They just saw their slave races getting into their own versions of the Morning War and went "right, need to fix that".

They made the Catalyst to sort it out and he decides the best thing to do would be to hit a gigantic reset button on the galaxy every 50'000 years before things get too out of hand. For all the murder and horribleness, they do at least keep the wheels of life turning in their own twisted way.

Would it have made more sense if they did the dark energy thing? I find that so much harder to defend, since why would they give everybody mass relay technology and encourage people to use it, then kill everyone to stop people from overusing it? Not to mention the creation of the Reapers makes far less sense - how is pulping the human race supposed to stop stars dying?
