No no no. Another child is going to die in this.

THIS time though. It's a...girl.

It's actually Space Hamster.

:crying:

Do I get a choice on how he gets to die at least? Trapped in his little hamster wheel? Sucked out the airlock?

There is no 'theme' of sacrifice after Nyreen's death.

You're right.

It's totally not, with Mordin trying to make sure that the genophage is cured, which ends with him exploding, Thane protecting the salarian Councilor from Kai Lame and ends up with a sword through his gut, Legion giving up his own existence so the rest of the geth can be true AIs and Shepard literally dying for the galaxy's sins.

Nah, it's too videogamey. We should be able to choose who should be on the Normandy. Miranda, Jack, Grunt or maybe Zaeed? Why don't add that feature?

Of course, Mass Effect is about choice.
You can even convince him to kill himself.

Logical fallacy. Nothing can kill Space Hamster, except space magic, but we have dismissed that claim.

If it killed Garrus or Kaidan, I definitely wouldn't play it. A near death experience? Maybe, but please don't just kill them

You're kidding? How many times exactly can one character have a "near death experience"?? Kaidan already had 3. 1 in ME1 and 2 in ME3. I'm not paying for yet another way to get Kaidan Alenko hurt. Not even if Sbarge acts in game that fan-demanded line from his interview...

I saw what the theme of sacrifice has been reduced to in the Omega DLC. Best to not even touch it in future content.

The theme of sacrifice in ME2's Suicide Mission is probably why half the characters in ME2 were reduced to less-than-minor roles in ME3.

It won't kill off a squadmate. That'd be pretty dumb for a dlc to do that, especially since ME3 has been out for nearly a year now.

Yes and that's why certain squad members are more equal than the others, unfortunately. I've never belived in that excuse and I never will. Some of ME 2 characters are available but the rest could die in suicide mission so be happy with what you got. Yeah, right...

Look at my post edit.  I forgot they both almost died.  Sometimes I just post things without thinking.  I blame it on the hang over :P

I like this thread. So much Liara hatred. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.(I'm being serious. I had a huge grin on my face the moment the Liara hate showed up. Anyone want cake?)

I think one of the flaws with the ME games is that there's no option(for most squaddies) to keep them from being part of the crew. They do a great job of writing their characters and this means most people have some characters that they love as well as some that they hate. Since we can't kick them off the ship and completely sever ties with them it causes people to wish that they were dead instead.

I swear to god if they touch Garrus or Tali, I will march to bioware headquarters and do something that would get this post removed just for typing it.

Don't do a terrorist attack. I still want them to bring back Miranda in a dlc! And Kill Liara. kill Liara. Kill Liara.

Or alternatively, you could just not buy the DLC.
