I find a lot of books but I cant open them and read them.  Is that the way it is supposed to be or is there a way to read the books?

Right click and select examine from the menu.

Hmmm, i removed everything from override and still I am not getting anything when I right click on everything. I am trying to examine the book in my inventory.

Can you confirm that your right mouse button works outside of the game?
Have you tried holding the right mouse button down awhile, until the menu appears?

AHA! thanks for the out of game suggestion. I hadnt played for a long time and forgot I had an out of game mouse app and I had put the middle to do right mouse click for some reason.....
