We can talk about religion with Ashley in the first game, but we can't talk about religion in the third?

It's in the leaked script. I just pulled it up.

Can you kindly please post a link in this thread, for all those naysayers?

I would have loved to have shat on her once and for all doing that.

I just wish it didn't have to be romance specific (It looks like a romance).

This explains why Kaidan got a cool scene with Shepard talking about the nature of Cerberus and TIM, but why Ashley gets nothing. Idc in the long run, I either kill her (Virmire or coup) or give her to Hackett.

The screenshots were from the romance scene, but I don't think the dialogue was meant to be romance specific

It was only in the script, it doesn't actually appear in the game, so there are no actual scenes of it..

To me it's a perfect conversation for upcoming DLC.

Especially as we know that Virmire Survivor voice actors (Kaidan confirmed) are involved.

Such conversation could provide pretty good closure to entire series, as the next and last DLC is in fact a farewell to Commander Shepard.

Ash desperately needs more character development in ME3 she does absolutely nothing except when she gets drunk. I don't mind the Cerberus doubts it adds a bit of drama if you ask me, but seriously she needs more in her character arc, cause currently it isn't even that it's a straight line.

I like this scene a lot and wish it was included. Granted, I don't have Ash in ME3, but it has always irked me that the fact that Shepard was dead for two years is brushed away so often. I want to know more about his/her doubts regarding that resurrection. I want to know more about what s/he thought about while locked up for six months. This does all of that very cleanly, IMO.

I never forgave her for dissing me about cerberus.. She should know Sheps on the up'n up.. but she cops an attitude over it all?

I also wish Ashley had more to say; she felt like one of those cheap DLCs (Kasumi, Zaeed) rather than a main character. I don't mind her religious beliefs either; they don't threaten me.

If it was cut for religious excuses, blame western developers caving in to all the people too insecure in their own beliefs to accept that someone else might believe differently. Sad.

To make matters worse, one of her ammunition skills bugs out so she sits in cover toggling it constantly, rather than fighting, so I was forced to leave her on the Normandy the whole time she was part of my crew.

I did enjoy meeting her younger sister, though I couldn't see a family resemblance...

I'd only want the scene in if there was a way to troll her. Start making **** up. And I say that as a Christian. I just hate Ashhole.

Thanks jtav, I really wish I'd been able to discuss that with Ash. It also brings some detail to what Shepard went through, which didn't seem apparent through ME2 and isn't commented on much in ME3.

Benezia is an asari, Ashley is a human; people probably relate better to Ashley (subconsciously), consequently focusing more on what she says.

Even Legion makes some reference to the Bible being mythology, though I forget when.

I like how people are surprised that Bioware will avoid real world things due to controversy.

This should come as a surprise to no one who has wondered about the thing that's missing in ManShep romances in the first two games.

Surprised?  No.  After wearing bras in the shower and yet still fighting anatomically correct banshees, nothing surprises me about this game.

Nope, you're wrong. He says, "'My name is legion, for we are many.' Christian Bible, Mark (something)."

He says nothing about it being mythology.
