I certainly will once I get all my stuff back together. I just recently purchased one of those IDE-2-USB thingies so I can get all my old textures and missed scripts off my ancient hard drive. It seems I still lost a few hundred textures, but I have ALL my old scripts now. Woot!

After I finish a few more projects, I'll just start hammering bits back together and release ALL my old stuff. First I need to get the tileset manager put back together and put out my multi-height tileset with it. Hopefully then I can modify the tileset manager so Rolo can use it elsewhere. I need to recreate a few hundred textures, but I still have the PSP multi-layered bitmaps I used to make them with.

Thanks guys. The six shown here are a quarter of what I have sent in (Just checking, you have got them haven't you AD?). I included a quick and dirty catalogue with my submission which explains what their suggested intended use is. For example "Parp!" is the trigger word for a magic device that produces a stinking cloud and "Need clean undies" is the result of a spell failure. Well I did warn you all that they are very much tongue in cheek and really intended for movies etc. But who am I to limit the imagination of those use them.

Oh one other thing. I have a list of the fonts used and I have archived the 2048x2048 png images that I created for this before shrinking them and converting to tga for textures. If anyone is interested in getting their hands on either resource just pm me and I'll sort something out. Finally, 1 resource that I found useful was the site FontFace which hosts over 19000 fonts.

I needed to ask because last time I had problems getting an attachment to work and had to go in a roundabout route to get it to you. So this time I used one of my lesser used email accounts and it seems it worked.

In Amethyst I have a soft limit on epic level spells in that using so much power runs the risk of attracting the attention of Amethyst Herself. Very bad.

This would give me an appropriate catastrophic consequence :-)

im not 100% sure what the problem was, i removed parts of the eruption 3d model and just kept the emitters and it worked fine, then i put it back in and it still worked fine, im not even sure i made any changes =s

fixed it, there was some broken duplicate model underneath the original model that had no texture, idk why it was there but it hasnt done anything to remove it

wastn the idea of CCC to encourage builders to create a new and unique content within given theme and within the current month?

I dont think its a good idea to continuously add whatever fits into theme anytime later, even if creator gives permission. Once its on the vault so why to add it into CCC? It also slows down releasing the CCC haks for that month. Imo either that builder release it for CCC only or not. Having the same content both in CCC and as individual entry on vault isnt good idea...

@ShaDoOoW - I'm guilty as charged. I first released my bloody placeables into the Custom Content Challenge September 2011 - Horror / Creepy as at the time I hadn't released much into the ccc and I was already working on this. Subsequently I released a much expanded version as TR's BloodBank. I did this not only because I had expanded it but also so that the 2da locations tied in with the 2da's of my other stuff whereas the ccc placeables.2da obviously did not. So make of it what you will.  

As to your statement - "I dont think its a good idea to continuously add whatever fits into theme anytime later" - I think if anyone were to add to the (still unreleased) steampunk themed one. there would be a resounding cheer from most of the community ^_^.

Back to January's ccc, I have sent an update to AD which improves on the positioning of 10 of the models. None of them look any different, it's just that now they all align with what/who ever they are attached to.

@ FP: Those spell effects are *great*, but, as you pointed out, not working ingame without some 2da work. To be included in the CCC, they really should be working as submitted.

@ Shad: My friend, I have a few opinions on this :-) Mind if I shift this discussion to the Master CCC Thread?

@ Tarot: Received the update. It's up to AD whether he's too far along with the project to include them in the initial. but they'll get in there one way or another.

And yes, *I* would cheer if more stuff was added to Steampunk ;-)

Which is exactly why I didn't email my beams project (now part of entry 490) to the appropriate address because as I mentioned they were not finished in time. Entry 501 was a side project NOT for the CCC of January. They were just for entertainment only and happened to be spell related. Perhaps I should have made that my spells CCC goal since I had more fun with them than I did with my beams tool.

As mentioned in the 501 entry, they too are not 100% finished. I intend to add separate animation sequences for impact/duration/cessation. I also now intend to do travel sequences for a section specifically for projectiles. That way you can call on the same model for anything related to the same spell type.

I'd consider all my stuff WIP but maybe I need to get me a nice WIP logo to put on my stuff? :)

Thankfully I have a butt-load of time to work on February's CCC!

Edit:

I just read up on the Master CCC page and tried to post, but its blank...so bah...

Anyway, don't go adding project 501 (infinity clones) to any other compilation hak until its at least got more animation sequences in it. Its very WIP, but since it does work, I did put it out already. And no, there are no 2da lines for it, because its not new spells, its alternate casting fx. Later it will be more, as I intend to load each individual file with as many of the spell effect animation sequences as reasonably possible. Otherwise, ALL my content is do-as-you-wish with it, and usually stamped with "Enjoy!".
