yup. all you haters go back to huffing the filthy packaging to super mario sunshine!!! this game is so **** good im running on fumes for sleep and just ended my first days session at, or around 15 hours, with 1 or 2 breaks of 30 min sprinkled in for my heart and lungs sake...

MY GAWD is this game a masterpiece.

if you dont like it, either galaga is your favorite game or you sometimes smash your face in with a hammer while listening to the melvins!!!

the only reason im stopping to play for the night is because my heart sent my brain an e-mail sayign they were going to break up if the brain didnt take a nap.

so im doin it to keep those crazy kids together.

charatcer interaction?_like my level 22 hand reaching into my pocket for a 'conversation' with mr magic wand.

and lastly, why teh fugg am i seeing 90% BS on these forums after such a jewel has launched?

did we just get the atari 2600 short bus enthusiastes dropped off at a cyber cafe that only had DAO forums up on the computers?

1 - I like the Melvins.



2 - I agree. I stopped for the night at about ten hours in and this game is a whole bunch of adjectives -- awesome, addictive (I'm thinking about it when not playing), epic and very fun!



I won't call it the best ever quite yet but it certainly has the makings. I take all the ****ing about the game in stride. I didn't make it. I just play it. But I've been around game releases too long. People build it up and hype it up for months before release. Then it comes out and everyone complains. Happens every time.



Me, I love it. Me, I think the game has very little that makes me frown. It's a great game from what I've seen so far.

name ONE rpg that can be compared to DAO of any relevance?!?!?!?

i keep seeing thse games compared to DAO in the reviews-



1 WOW laughable outright, its NOT an RPG in the sense that DAO is, period.

2 oblivion nope. no RPing here.

3 fallout 3? you mean oblivion 2?

4 baldurs gate?

5 neverwinter nights?



the only ones that come close are the last 2 games that are10 years old!!!!! nothing is like DAO. before or anything coming anytime soon. because people dont make immersive RPGs anymore. they make fancy looking MMO money grabs.



its either a "make one character to roam around a humongous map"

or "here buy this box for 50$, now keep paying us 15$ every month... why? because, what would happen if you stopped? what would you miss out on?"



MMOs are so overrated. im so sick of the rehash.

bioware is what made me a PC gamer in the first place when they released baldur's gate. and over the eyars i forgot why. i kept buying and wasting money on MMOs and other garbage just to justify upgrading a machine over and over.



but then something happens, on the rare occasion, and someone will put out a game that makes me happy to have a machine to play these masterpieces!!!!

This game is awesome, and I'm really into it. Only problem I face is the right click move mouse click, otherwise things are really fun and challenging with my party setup as well as storyline is great.

Things that bug me

The 360 pause is fugly and annoying, you cannot just pause it, you have to bring up the ring, hard to see stuff sometimes



Game is kinda easy, I have it on normal and have only been completely wiped out once(by a random encounter pack of wolves, wolves are evil incarnate, mix in some foot traps and I got F***ed).Uping the difficulty today.

Everyone (except Loghain, that double crossing SOB).

The number of enemies on screen, I expected like 3-4 on the 360, I have seen up to 10 at a time

I didnt play DAO yet, but Neverwinter Nights 2 - Mask of the Betrayer was pretty awesome. Your companions are very interesting (Gann is the best chaotic neutral character ever), the story (everything is about you, no "save the realms because you are the chosen one" cr@p)

Let's just say I want to put my hands around the necks of a few NPCs. Any game that pulls that kind of emotion out of me is a damn good game in my book.



And does anyone else love the body language of the NPCs and party members? Morrigan especially is very animated when she speaks. Love it, very natural feeling compared to other games.

/agree with everything, it's been a long time since I've played something I held at a level equal to that of the BG series.



I have one gripe, when in the zoomed out tactical view the camera still feels a bit too attached to my character and can cause issues with seeing casters off screen until a fireball explodes me.



If i missed how to detach the camera in the controls somebody please enlighten me haha.
