What do you mean?

The loading and performance problem which still hasn't been addressed.
Wait years and years for the game and it's technical problems are so bad that regardless of how good the actual game is, the enjoyment is knee capped.

Rubbish, the people that work on Dragon Age don't work on Mass Effect 2.

Even excluding Mass Effect 2, there's DLC and expansion pack to be released without seemingly even an acknowledgment of the problem. Very disspointing and somewhat aggravating. It's not like the game lacked development time, did it?

Can't wait for this...getting my import games all set up and ready to rock on the 26th. For sure getting it on the PC. Was watching all the class videos last night...combat looks 100% improved, can't wait!

The handling of the DLC and patching for DAO has really made me apprehensive. I was all about ME2 but after seeing the kind of support DA got, I'm going to wait and see what some reviews and forums say. Sorry Bioware. Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice...we won't get fooled again.

I may do. I haven't decided yet. And of course, if I get it I'll want it for PC, but since I had the first on Xbox360, I'll want to rebuy ME1 for PC to carry over my choices more accurately.

Agreed, combat looks very good. Adept and even engineer are very attractive for me this time around. I mean adept was before, but even more so now, and I didn't care for engineer at all last time around. I only have one save ready for import though, so I hope that I can at least have the option to switch to switch to engineer.

Of course. One of the reasons I got Dragon Age was to help hold me over until Mass Effect 2.



Bioware is to me what Squaresoft was to me when I was a teenager. Whenever a new Bioware game comes out it is a huge event and it is always a must have game.

That is how Squaresoft was during the 16 bit and a little bit into the 32 bit era.

Have had ME2 preordered for a while. I admit that I picked up ME to pass the time until DA:O was released. I enjoyed ME a lot and look forward to the sequel, really good sci-fi. But it is not DA:O. I played ME through twice and enjoyed it but it is not a game I can play over and over again. I just finished my 3rd playthrough on DA:O and can't wait to start with another origin.

Agreed. I'm getting worried about if EA is poisoning Bioware's quality. I've been monitoring people's input on Bioware & it appears to be well loved, but on the other hand, i've been observing EA intel, & gathering it myself via my Spore playing, & it feels like EAs idea of game making is to make an initial product & try to hook us with it, then try to totally rip us off on expansion/DLC prices & expect us to put up with bein suckered. EA seems to act like cash farmers & look at us as if we're the livestock of their farm. I wonder how much they even care about games or gaming...

I never bought the Spore C&C Expansion & never will. I got my $50 bucks outta the main-game, but nothing they've offered after that was enough new stuff for the price they asked. 2/5 of the Main Game cost (aka $20) for only a couple of new parts & animations is madness. That amount of cash is = to 2 of the 5 stages in the main game, so 2 outta the 5 stages's worth of cash for only a couple of parts & animations is highway robbery. No. Freakin. Way.  It's like asking us to pay $10 bucks for a single 3-meat large pizza divided into eighths, then trying to sell us future single slices of pizza at $3 bucks a pop! Ridiculous!

I want to clarify my statement a little. I think Bioware has done a great thing with DA. I appreciate that EA put the funds behind it to publish it. I love the game. I just don't think I can jump in feet first with Bioware until they start living up to the standard they've created for themselves again. I have every bit of faith they will. As far as EA. They're EA. Making money is why they're here.

On that note, I completely agree about Spore. I got the c&c pack and could never get it to work on my computer. I tried everything. I got no help from the forums. I was eventually, probably permanently, banned when I said, "Next time just have Will Wright come over and rape me with no lube while I hand him my wallet." Yeah...I feel like that was their breaking point.
