I hate how effectively they blend in amongst my teammates. As long as there's one human in my team, it'll always take me at least 2 seconds to realize that it's a Dragoon that I'm looking at.

Shoot your teammates. :wizard:

Can't afford such luxuries when playing as an Infiltrator and/or using the Javelin/Claymore :crying:

Go right ahead ;)

Have to admit though, when they catch me unaware and the four of them are gang-banging me to death... I usually resort to far less kind descriptions

Very much so.

They show up every 20 minutes and kill my NPCs. Then half the time they won't even fight me and instead just fly away.

they are kinda the only threat of the whole faction
you have to be way more careful than with any other unit in the game if you want to never die by their hands
i tend to snipe a lot, so they often push me out of my comfort zone on smaller maps and when i have a minute of 'spacing out', that's never really fun

In a parallel universe where Turrets don't have more armor than a Possessed Praetorian, don't put out more DPS than a Scion, and don't pop out three at a time in the most unexpected places, sure :alien:

No, but seriously, as a fellow sniper enthusiast, I feel you. It's almost like they were deliberately designed to ****** us snipers off. That said, there's nothing like killing a Dragoon with a Javelin to make you feel like a sniping savant. It's almost as satisfactory as blowing a Phantom's head clean off.

Actually they are more about burst damage than DPS. A lot of characters can just take them down with quick combos and then be on cooldown or reloading after killing them. Warp>Throw, Cryo Blast>Incinerate, Incendiary Ammo>Phase Disruptor spam, Cloak>Shadow Strike, and many other combos that have lower DPS than the big guns are very effecient at taking out dragoons.  Their health is high enough to justify the time investment and low enough that you can kill them in your initial burst, so they are basically made to be killed by this  kind of tactic.  Being armored also makes them weak to every one of the aforementioned combos and many others as well.

Atlases are much more difficult than Dragoons. So are Cerberus Turrets.

Yeah, I hate 'em too. They're too fast and too quiet for the armour they're packing. But at least they can be staggered by overload or energy drain (which are powers on most of my fav kits), or set on fire (by my other fav kits) and blow up with a detonator.

They always miss me. They do distract you from little miss stabby though.

When she isn't near though I scoff heartily while gunning them down.

I realize that I will always use at least one medi-gel doing a Cerb/Plat solo when I see the group of 3 Dragoons. You can't out run them once they start shooting in a group.

That being said, all of my recent solos have been ruined by Phantoms stabbing me in the back.

well you shouldnt have cheated on her.
At least her goodbye gift is her bumbum on your special area, at least she gives you that.. other enemies arent as nice.

I just may get a little turned on everytime I'm Phantom "bump 'n grinded"  -- I'd certainly never thought of it that way until now.

As for Dragoons, I dont mind them simply because they add a very "chaotic" unit to a very predictable enemy faction in Cerberus. Without Dragoons, Cerberus doesnt really have any enemy that forces you to constantly react to them, most of their units can be much better contained and manipulated.

I agree that trying to solo with them is very difficult because they move at Usain Bolt speeds, but as others (some) have mentioned at times, this game wasnt really designed for soloing.

I never like dying by them, or having 2 of them gangbang me, but for as much as they're a pain in the @s$, they do make Cerberus much more exciting.

I hate them.If they can stagger you,you are already dead because they can swap the whip and hornet xxx in 0,1 sec.And if there are 4 of them rushing toward you the headshots doesn't help much.

I really don't get a lot of the hate directed
toward one unit. Granted, Dragoons aren't
my favorite, but if I'm using a Sniper Rifle, I'd take
them over Phantoms any day.

They do seem to buffed up for what they are! A guy with a whip! And they seem to have developed a swarming mentality like husks. Never seems to be just one anymore but you get surrounded by three!

I don't really hate Dragoons in particular, but I think Cerberus is pretty poorly designed. Every unit in the Cerberus repertoire is an absolute joke with the exception of Phantoms and Dragoons. It just doesn't really make sense and it's kind of uninteresting to play against.

I think Bioware should:
1) Buff Guardians. These guys were supposed to fill the role that Dragoons now perform. Speed them up and increase their weapon damage. It's ridiculous that these guys are practically shooting blanks while Dragoons seem like they have an arm cannon.
2) Buff the weapon damage of Centurions and Nemesis so that they can actually fill the role of ranged damage dealers.
3) Give the Nemesis the ability to cloak.
4) Nerf the Phantom palm cannon and the Dragoon submachine guns. Leave the long range damage dealing to the Centurion and Nemesis.
5) Possibly slow down Dragoons slightly.

What I would really like to see done with dragoons is two things. First it would be nice if they had some recovery time between their attacks. It's ridiculous that a single dragoon can stun lock you like an entire damn geth squad and then immediately shoot with his go **** yourself hornet. Also I wouldn't mind the dragoons having the same speed if they had to sprint, i.e. they can't shoot at top speed, then when they got close to you moving at a normal speed. If this were the case they could even be a bit faster. I'm just sick of dragoons juking so fast at close range they make any professional athlete look like a fat ass with stone feet.
