As like a monument maybe, not the actual ship though.

Or it could be an old relic that's found on a scrapyard that the new protagonist slvages... but.. it will likely become a museum artifact... It depends I guess... If EDI is alive then... EDI probably wouldn't want to get scraped.
Maybe EDI picks up the new protagonist as "crew" like offering a job, doing escort missions and ferrying stuff... Then suddenly you and EDI get into a new "epic" adventure and EDI tells you it's like the good old days!

Paid off,In a museum or being used in an alliance technical training school as a training aid.But other than that no, I would prefer a new ship.

the ship that destroyed the ****ing reapers? A museum of course. Or an alliance asset that the best spectre gets or something like that!

It should be left as a monument, flying over Joker's grave.

Maybe the museum but the antagonists attack while you're there so you have no option but to steal it.

It depends how far in the future the game takes place. If it's ten or twenty years, sure. But it has to be mentioned anyway, whether it's because it's docking on the citadel on a retirement tour, or because people are petitioning the alliance to make it a museum, or because the legends says it disappeared a hundred years ago when it rammed a Yahg dreadnaught to save batarian refugees ... they can't just ignore it. They shouldn't anyway.

No. I'm hoping that the next ME game will take place ( very far ) in the future, by then I would like to think the SR-2 is no longer in commission. I would however like to see future Alliance frigates take take a few design cues from either the SR-1 or the SR-2 as well as few features like the stealth drive. As for EDI, I think that it is becoming more and more apparent that 'Destroy' is the canon ending that the people want and you should always give the people what they want.

if it's far in the future I'm sure the Alliance will likly build a sister ship like sr3 or more normandy class style ships

If it's not about Shepard, then no. Let's have a new, bigger ship, that actually takes some time to explore.

I think ME4 should be something different.

This all depends if ME4 is going to be a sequel. If it will be a sequel, then yes it should be included as a monument or museum piece on Earth. The ship was so vital in the events of ME2 and ME3, it would be foolish to not pay homeage to it in future installments. Now if ME4 is going to be a prequel I think it would be cool to see prototype versions of the SR1 before it was actually built.

As a cameo in the background or a recap of the first three games, possibly. As your ship? Definitely not, that was Shepard's ship and they should create a new ship for the new character.

well...the "original" Normandy SR-2 (restored after throwing all that alliance rubbish - i am sorry, but i felt they ruined the ship with inputing all that useless junk (the communications-room would have made an effective war-room already, so why have an extra one? etc.)...it was just cramped - the SR-1 was less cramped :() could be a museum, but i would want a new ship (one that is designed a little more for long deepspace missions, that has a real hangar with more then just shuttles (that even the pilot tells you handle like a brick), has a realy messhall, laboratories...all in all i would want a larger ship, maybe even a ship that was not human (or made by one of the other council species) made but aquired by the player character and thus has some secrets of its own - like an old prothean ship that was burried somewhere?)

so, no i do not want the Normandy back (also i quite liked it in ME2 - the ME3 version hat a better paint-job, but everything else was just annoying...would have love to shoot the decorators of that (the in-game ones)...they ripped my ship appart and put her together like a silly contraption again <_< thank you admiral Hacket -.-)

greetings LAX

They should make it standard alliance frigate design, and scale it up as well to dreadnought size, with obvious additions to its hardware (more weapons, more armor, the bigger fuel tank upgrade from ME2 etc)
