I do think that Liara was a little too "here's your LI" shoved at us, but not worse than, Miranda or Thane.
I am surprised no one mentioned Jack yet. Most of the ME2 LIs were badly short changed compared to Liara ans Jack like Tali had a very good friend to lover or in Jack's case, lust to love progression.
Miranda and Thane have more redeeming qualities about them, more so than Liara at least.
An Jack's not all that bad, she's just very cliched example of "Defrosting an Aplha Beech" trope
I think you have Jack confused for Miranda.

I just found your hypocrisy funny.
Fact 1 - They all take only a few talks to romance - hardly reminiscent of a real relationship. The threesome thing irks me as well.Mr.Racoon wrote...
Allright, man. Life talk 101.
Opinions are based on facts.
Fact 1 - Liara takes the least amount of time and dialogue to romance and is okay with going for threesome in ME1.
Fact 2 - Liara is always assumed to be Shepard's BFF no matter how you act towards her in any of the games
Fact 3 - Liara is the poster LI for ME games, receiving the most attention and romance scenes from the devs.
Fact 4 - Liara's transition from ME1 to ME2 is disjointed and poorly executed. She never showed her vicious propertlies in the first game.

Fact 2 - So is Garrus.
Fact 3 - The most popular character gets the most content. I'm not saying I agree with that practice, but it's what they've done.
Fact 4 - Very arguable.
Just because your opinion is based on a fact doesn't mean that everyone adheres to it.

Oh I agree, there are points where her position would be better filled the by player's LI. Or, if there is none, EDI. After the dream sequence for example.Archonsg wrote...
Don't get me wrong, I thought they did a rather bang up job on her, considering the limitations, but I do agree that her character's romance felt a little forced.
I've also thought it'd be better with a pole. Make one, and I'll use it, I promise.Falaxe wrote...
@GT
I hate that gif so much. You can find better ones or I can make you one with pole.

I like pointing out to stupid people that they are stupid. Is that so bad.

I just completed an imported Liaramance with a FShep. Her romance felt awkward because there wasn't much extra dialogue, even during the capsule scene or after Thessia. I felt as if Liara was keeping me at arm's length right up until Cronos. The romance is excellent from that point on, however.

But solely on the pretense of you fanboyingly saying that Liara is the best written LI (which she is not, beacause explanation) I'd say you're definitely not getting plus points.
