Well, first, keep in mind that I've never played a male Shepard. I have watched my husband play, however, and have watched the romances on YouTube.
That said, definitely Tali. Of the female LIs, she easily has the most heartwarming dialogue and interactions with male Shepard imo.
Miranda.. eh. I lack the ability to be stimulated by a T&A display, I find her voice mildly irritating, and aside from her devotion to her sister (which I do love) I find her character uninteresting. And I wouldn't touch Liara with a 40-foot pole.

I could agree with this. Miranda is clearly designed as a sex bot for male Shep. Liara's chest seemed to grow through the series, which suggests that BW pushed her a bit. To me, it is tough designating Ashley as the best LI since (to me) her character model does even resemble the same character model in ME1. It got better (and again, more voulptious), but I "lost that love and feeling"...

Out of your choices, I would go with Liara. Definitely the best written romance in ME3, and my personal favorite. I have a save for everyone but Scale Itch, Major Boring, Cortez, Battletits, Traynor, and Tali. Not too fond of my Grand Dragon Williams save either, but her romance wasn't bad in ME1.

I liked Tali and Miranda in ME2, and Tali and Liara in ME3. I'll go with Tali as my #1, although Liara's romance had the better moments in ME3.

Liara has lots of content, but honestly, it often feels forced. Additionally, I don't really feel the chemistry there, especially between mShep and Liara.
Miranda was always one of my favorite characters because of what she represented. A strong willed, independent woman who wasn't afraid of her power. She could come off as cold, but there was some more to her if you dug a little deeper. She could however come off as out of character at the end of ME2 and her plot is very one-dimensional in ME3, but her romance subplot was handled well. There are great moments throughout if you explore the various dialogue options.
So, while none meet what I would call an ideal romance, I'd go with Miranda. Now just gotta decide if I want her to die at sanctuary or not (makes for a great moment, but also a bit cliched).
It's very clear that there is no "right" choice. A lot of varying opinions and what not. However, I like your reasoning here. I think I'm going with Miranda cause she's the most independent of the three. I mean, Shepard has a galaxy to save, he doesn't have time to settle down.
