I'm not sure how that meshes with 'their own creator' thinking they're childlike.Emzamination wrote...

Hey hey, no need to imply what I think you're implying. Even their own creator has acknowleged they seem child like, but you bask in self-denial if it makes you happy.

Oh it doesn't, but it does provide an answer to dwarven creation, which was the question, no?

What's to explain? The question is a broad one and I can't be expected to interpret non-existent specifics. If you have something to ask, ask it.

The question is this:
You said their own creator views them as childlike.
When asked on if you know who actually created the concept of Dwarves, you said the following:
Dwarves come from Germanic mythology (mostly Norse, but also Anglo-Saxon and so forth). They are based on the Faerie stories of the Scandinavian peoples.
Which doesn't jive at all with how their own creators viewed them as childlike, something you claimed.
So now you're being asked to clarify just why you think their own creator views them as childlike, by bringing up specifics on that assertion. As it stands, the only thing I can think of is that you think David Gaider -- creator of DA -- views them as childlike.
But IIRC, he's never claimed that -- or if he has, I doubt he was being serious about it just like he's not serious about his hatred of Dwarves.

Emzamination, were you referring to David Gaider stating he found them to be childlike? (can't quite remember if those were his exact words, but something to that effect)
Never mind
But the opinion that dwarves strike a person as looking childish is beyond me (no, I am not saying it's wrong, I just can't comprehend it) I am very small for my age, that by default does not make me a child. Not to mention the dwarven women seem to have much fuller figures than the other races, and the men could probably walk around naked and still be mistaken for wearing really woolly clothes.
Also, Thorin Oakenshield. And Kili. Yum.

So the basis of your argument is what you think I should've thought, based on your own feelings of how you'd interpret the question without specifics? Am I reading that right? The Ethereal Writer Redux wrote...

Finally, someone ask a direct question. Yes, I was reffering to david as he is the creator of the dragon age universe.

No.
The basis of my argument is that you made an assertion and haven't bothered to back it up, leaving me to assume just what in the seven hells you were referring to by "their own creator views them as childlike".
I am not saying "This is what you meant because it's what I take your statement to mean". I am saying "This is what I think you mean because you're not being clear at all."
And now you're sidestepping the question itself.
So here's a specific question for you: What in the seven hells did you mean by "their own creator views them as childlike"?
Finally, someone ask a direct question. Yes, I was reffering to david as he is the creator of the dragon age universe.
Ah, you answered it! Finally!
Why you couldn't have said "Yes I meant DG" in response to me though since that's what I inferred from your assertion -- with nothing to actually back it up -- instead of saying something else like you did, I don't know.
But at least there's a clear answer now.

Back up what? I gave a honest direct answer to a direct question or rather statement "I'd be interested in who you think created dwarves" not "I'd be interested in who you think created dwarves in the dragon age universe".
