Oghren, the Elf: He was transferred to another clan because of his superior fighting talents, and quickly fell in love with their Keeper. It didn't take long for her to reciprocate his feelings, or so he thought. They married, and were happy for a time. Until this Keeper, let's call her Brina, packs up the clan to go off in search of Arlanthan and the ancient elven power that supposedly resides there; with one catch, she leaves Oghren behind. He turns to alcohol to numb the affects of his beloved's betrayal, his once proud name turned into a joke amongst the Dalish. He allows this reputation to continue, even going so far as to perpetuate it, making crude jokes so that no one can see how fractured and hurt he really is. He'll never let anyone that close to him again...
Now tell me we wouldn't have a crap load of fangirls for Oghren the Elf.

Yes. I would actually romance Oghren if given the option.
I firmly believe that if Oghren were human or elven, he would have reams and reams of fanfic written in his honor. Rags-to-riches-to-rags backstory, betrayal and abandonment by his god-wife and their clan, finding her deep in madness in the Deep Roads. His drinking problem, the touch of sobriety by the end of DAO, then the backsliding in DAA. He would be a tragic GOD with female OCs throwing themselves at him to 'fix him' and make him all better.
I can see that happening.

A better example is Varric, had he been a human or elf, I imagine he would had the same following that characters like Anders pre DA2, Garrus/Tali pre ME2 had - even more people wanting to romance him.

David Gaider wrote a post on his Tumblr that mentioned why Varric wasn't a LI... Apparently he was intended to be a bit of a creep. As he developed, he ended up being the likeable, charming hunk o' dwarf we have in DA2... But it was too late to make him a LI at that point.HJF4 wrote...
Eh, Oghren would still be smelly, lewd (in a not-Zevran kind of way), crude, drunken, and a deadbeat dad.

I really, really hope that he is a companion in DA3... And a LI.

Honestly, I don't. I loved Varric and would have loved to romance him, but I don't want any companions transferring over. They absolutely butchered Anders bringing him over--It would have been so much easier for me to accept who Anders was if I hadn't known him in Awakening. I kept waiting for the old Anders...and I don't want to see that happen to Varric.
I hope they make a new, absolutely striking dwarf for us to fall in love with.

Gorim's romance in the dwarf noble origin was really sweet (and tragic), I wish it was more fleshed out! I'm not into long hair and long beards so if they made a less common short-haired beardless dwarf, I'd apreciate it. Or just a female one, that'll suffice.

Other than that, I'm up for a new Dwarf LI of either gender.

Alistair romancing a dwarf has to kneel just for a kiss and her head is like twice the size of his. For the same reasons I find if hard to romance a male elf as a female human.
there is nothing wrong with it, it just doesn't come across very well visually.

Yes, I'm all for a dwarf romance. I'd love to have Dagna as a companion and LI. She was cute and interesting.
What I'd like even more is Varric though. I never went through with any of the male LIs in DA2, but for Varric....oh, Varric, you gorgeous dwarf you.
