I don't care if this person who originally sent the message is a man or a woman (although it embarrasses me for her) what is the point people?! It's a rude thing to do- and unfortunately she was "outed" in this thread. 

For people that send hatemail what is your ultimate purpose? Surely it is just cathartic or to spew your rant so you can get over it? I disagree becuase while you might feel a little "happy" sending such a missive of rancor- you are just escalating things between yourself and the other person. All you're doing is stoking the fire lovingly to continue the disagreement or issue- with someone you probably played with ONCE or just a few times. 

TL;DR People creating drama shouldn't be surprised when the shiz hits them back in the face.

I've only ever received nice messages, usually after I solo a wave in a gold match. My favorite was a message I got after I had to solo wave 9 in a gold geth game. Right after the wave ended one of the guys in the lobby sent me a message saying, "Dude your[sic] a **cking boss"

I'll be honest, I still have that one saved, I can't bring myself to delete it!

Locking someone in the Reactor is idiotic, unless trolling your friends, (even for "wasting" a consumable), and sending hate mail is even more so.

When my team is extremely awful, my hate mail simply tells suggests they stick to silver. "Stick to silver" to be exact. Once though, I told a guy that I hope he was searching for silver and was thrown into gold because he' s the worst player I've ever seen.

This thread wasn't posted to make me or anyone else look good, it was posted to give BSN a place to share all of the hilariously stupid messages people send when they start taking this game too seriously.

It was my choise because almost NOBODY is thinking about the reason of this message just because a BSN half-god posted this.

I honestly don't know how you can choose to defend someone who would be petty enough to send that hate message over a score in a co-op game.

Regardless of the reason and even if ashen was being petty and locked him in the reactor to outscore him, it still makes your friend look like a petty jerk, it just makes ashen look liek one too and still not as bad as your friend who clearly has anger and e-peen issues.

I'm not defending ashen i'm just pointing out your friend is still a DB no matter what happened for sending a message like that

Naw it was a silver game, I had a 5 revive medal without using any rockets on my HFI BW.
The messages really caught me off guard.

I once kicked a level 1 demolisher with an N7 rank of 82. He msg'd me saying it was just a game. I politely told him, if it's just a game then go play Silver and gain a few levels. After that he started sending me extremely vulgar death threats. I said listen man just calm down my 9 year old can see these msg's. He then went on to say he was going to rape my son in his a** and force my wife to watch. After that I just stopped responding. He went on to send me 2 - 3 death threats everyday for the next 2 weeks until I finally got sick of it and blocked him. For a guy that thought it was "just a game" he sure got some mad about it. I can somewhat understand random hate mail, but what must be going through that guys mind to wake up everyday for 2 weeks and think "better send my daily death threats to that guy who didn't wanna carry me", that just boggles my mind.

meh. I don't think it's really ironic since I'm not defending Ashen's trolling. That's just Ashen, abraisive and ok with it. Did the guy deserve it? I suppose that's debatable, but for Ashen it's obvious it was a no-brainer.

It's clear that you are defending him, no amount of weasel words can make your post in this thread seem neutral, lol.  I wasn't aware that all gay people had demeaning jobs such as fluffing, however.  It sounds like I'm not the homophobic one here.  In fact, I'm pretty sure a dryad is usually a female.  Why bring up the gay thing at all?

I've never played call of duty and I'm pretty sure I've never talked trash on XBL.  I'd just rather be direct instead of being a sycophantic weasal.
