For those of us not caring about credits I would definitely say play silver for fun and to farm hatemail.
Just don't use level 3/4 equipment or you will get bored after 1 game.

You mean gear wise? Absolutely nothing, not even any equipment, running an Avenger 5 and a Predator 3. He was just looking for easy experience.

So finally got a scorpion this morning. Took it into Reactor Hazarad on bronze just to get a feel for it. While I didnt get hate mail, I did get locked in the reactor a few times. I think they may have tried to send me a subtle hint to get out.

I was wondering at first about that fact as well. You really seem to have a higher chance of meeting considerate and experienced randoms in random silver lobbies than in random gold or platinum lobbies.

My theory is that the randoms playing platinum are often (not always, but often) in desperate need of money to level up their weapons. So they lack experience, are more likely to resort to stuff like missile glitching and usually too underequipped to bring some decent gear into the game.

But people that have (nearly) maxed out their manifest and are trying to grind a challenge often choose silver because of the higher rate of mooks (if they are grinding a faction challenge or needing grabs etc.) and because being focussed on collecting points with an underwhelming power is less annoying on silver.

And experienced people playing Gold or Platinum on a regular basis usually have a big enough friend list they can play Gold or Platinum together with, so they don't need to appear in a random lobby.

On the rare occasions I am not playing with my usual group of gaming buddies I also prefer Silver over Gold, because no matter which character I am playing and how low his current Level is and how crappy the weapon I am using for grinding a certain challenge, I am always sure we make it to extraction.

Somehow I am failing to see the irony here...
Especially since probably more than half of the people posting in this thread who are featuring a female avatar are males as well. So why don't you just ask them about their motives for choosing a picture sporting a female, should you really be interested in an answer.

Plus Kalas747 used the hint at potentially being a fluffer for the type of work that person is doing and not because male organs are involved. Which apparently escaped both of you.


But I can see a lot of irony in the fact that somebody who on the one hand

1. is posting plenty of videos on BSN showing him doing all kinds of fancy stuff in the game,

2. has his minions start threads headlined "<NAME1><NAME2><YOURNAME>. Which of these would you rather have on your team??" and

3. even has to post on BSN the occasional hatemail he gets after trolling somebody in the reactor during a pissing contest

is on the other hand accusing other people of being focussed on their e-peen.
That's really speaking for itself.

It's kinda like the pope sitting together with his bishops and making fun about a lutheran priest or a rabbi because they were so stupid to devote their life to working in a religious institution.


Let alone the immature attempt to repeatedly bring the potential sexual orientation of somebody into the discussion as a means to diss that person.

What does it matter that a dryad is typically female? Why bring that up at all? Are you trying to imply that I'm feminine? That's irrelevant. But I took it from Secret of Mana on the SNES, it's the elemental you use at the end of the game. It's more of a symbol of my love for the series than anything else.
