I'd wager you'll be able to gain some great amount of political power, yes. The devs have said repeatedly that politics plays a major part of the game. But king? I doubt it.

i doubt you will be able to become king-

essentially i would think since they are going for some semblance of realism- that you would have to basically conquer the human world- that doesn't seem to be what the game is about.

I don't think you can be a King or leader of anything as a Grey Warden, but you can definitely warp politics in the game, regardless.

I just can't wait to be kiiiing.."sings"

Anyway, I doubt you'll be king. Royal advisor and pretty much power behind the throne? May be a more realistic ideal.

I wouldn't think so unless David had no future plans to write any further content about Ferelden in any future works.

No spoiler.. Reading the Stolen Throne, it seems that the political game only drag decision. When action should be taken, they're there, discussing on what's better.

Personally, I think we'll despite them for dragging all this. When the survival of the human race is in play, you don't want to drag everything with a coronation and wouldn't care less of title. We're already a Grey Warden.

I don't see why it would be too much of a stretch. In fact, I believe one of the developers said something either in the forums at the main dragon age site or in an interview about how the PC would see the world from a "king-like perspective by the end of the game."

In my opinion, I think this means:
Dwarven Nobles get the chance to succeed their father on the throne
Human Nobles either take over their family's position as Teyrn or use that position to become king
Mages could become the first enchanter
Dalish elves could become the leader of their tribe

I dont know..these are just the mad hopes of someone that is very intrigued by the political aspect of this game

You'll probably just fade into the background at the end of the game after they give you a shiny medal for single handedly stabilizing the country and stopping the blight, just like in every other rpg.

I really do hope this is not the case in Dragon Age, but I've long since lost my hope of my characters contributing to the world in any meaningful way after the story ends. I'm tired of wandering off into the distance never to be seen or heard from again!

PsychoMunkys, Chris has repeatedly said that the only difference between the console and the pc versions of the game is control. Content is all the same.

A Grey Warden as king ha we cannot afford to have any obligations that would hold us back from fighting darkspawn.
