First, you need to be in the full reply window, not the quick reply window. It's much easier if you click the "BBCode" button at the top of the full reply window.

here's a complete example, in a pic so you can click it and the code will be visible (or reply to this post and then click "BBCode". (actually posting what's written in the picture makes for a messed up post, because the Bioware Social website interprets the first bracket-url to start a link...

First you need to upload your image to an image hosting site like imageshack etc, then copy the URL and paste into your message here. Type in [img] at the start and [*/img] at the end without the *. This works in Quick Reply as well.You don't need to have BB code enabled though it's helpful if you need to go back and edit your post.

If you want it to link to a larger image, go into standard form, select the url including the IMG tags and press the add link button. Past the same url in there and you're good to go!

I use imageshack all the time. You just need to make a free account to get the direct link option. Works great.

tinypic is good too though.

It must be how people link things then, because PJ156 uses imageshack, and the pics always go to a page where you can't enlarge enough to see detail.

I used 800x640. It is larger than what is displayed in the forum, but if you click on the image and follow the link, the size is big enough to read the text in the chat box.

The maximum that will display in the forum is about 500x300, my example pic in my first post is 250x150, linked pics can be any size of course.

So I made a photobucket one as I figured it was the same people then it's got a bit on the side of your pictures that says photo code or something like that I copied it and pasted it straight onto the post no url's or anything like that. It's not ideal but it works so for now I'll stick with that.

If you look at what I wrote in my picture, versus what you did, you will see I wrapped the img in a url. Doing that makes it clickable to the picture itself, should you want larger pics than what these forums will display.

I can still right-click and "view image" to see the larger pic. But making it work with a left-click is better, of course.
