you enjoy playing on the PC as well.

Same here. Plus my computer couldn't it as well as my box can. Nothing against those who game on the computer though as long as they aren't donkey butts about it.

It's size not quantity and what u do with it lol. tbh unless i have lots of things happening at once, the RAM isnt even close to being over utilised. And Win 7 is better than its predecessors at managing RAM and Garbage collection. And I would never make fun of u Caratinoid.

Well if you supported Mass Effect 1 like you supported those overrated Halo and Gear of War series you would still have Mass Effect all to yourself, but you blew it.

I'm getting a 'budget' gaming pc soon. Might get ME3 off steam just for dat 60fps. Although starting over from 0 after 500+ hours of play may be daunting.
............ME3 not available on steam as I recall

Don't know what you are talking about but I ran ME3 on a AMD... god what was it. Dual core something at 2.3 Ghz and it ran at like 15 FPS and people connecting to me could play it just fine. I don't know what you're talking about with with the FPS the screen can redraw having anything to do with CPU power. That's all GPU.
Edit: 9500GT
The FPS that you get depends NOT only on your GPU. The CPU still has to feed all the vertices and other info into the GPU for it to render. If your CPU is extremely busy with other things (AI, Physics, Content streaming..), then your GPU will not get the data to process and this will result in lower FPS. This is the main reason why games like Skyrim , Assassins Creed etc shows a drop in FPS when you are near crowds (the CPU will be busy processing their AI behaviour). So in such sitautions, the GPU will be waiting for input data and most of the time it will be idle.
And UnrealEngine's update loop is closely tied to the frame-rate. In UnrealEngine, the Actors are updated once per frame. So if you lock your FPS to a lower value, the update frequency will slo get reduced, resulting in reduced AI performance(although in most cases this won't noticeable).

So are there more games now with a 64bit executable? Thus using up more than the 3.5GB the 32bit games allow? Or is it still limited to Crysis 1 and Metro 2033?Carlina wrote...

I saw on the boxed version of Dark Souls that it's 64bit and DirectX10 optimised, but since that's just a plain lie...

Kind of ironic how the white Phantom looks a lot more like a storm trooper than the actual storm trooper case.

*swoons*I can only dream of such awesomeness... Still, I'm building a new rig and I'll get something decent for £400 (core i3, decent mobo this time) since my friend gave me his 'old' nvidia 560Ti...
I bought the pieces a bit at a time due to budget. After about 2 months:bandit: and dozens of hours of research I finally had everything.
You can do the same thing I did

I saw people mentioning higher numbers for RAM, that's why I was expecting someone to say that my 8 GB looks stupid next to other stuff I use. Unless you use some software (not games) that can actually take advantage of that extra memory there is no point to have more than 8 GB. Those two games you mention are the only ones I know of that can utilize that extra RAM, and even then your perfomance will be bottlenecked by GPU there, so unless you have a multi-SLI system you'll not be able to take advantage of that either. My 8 GB RAM has a lower cas latency as well, so it actually runs faster than a 32GB version would.

With the help of my ssd 555mb/s and 2way crossfire there is no way that I bottle neck. I run windows 7 ultimate and I clrearly see 31 gb of ram in the gadget meter. Every piece needs to be programed correctly to sync together for maximum performance. My OP starts in less than 10 seconds. There is no way yours is faster. not talking down just saying:whistle:

Well actually my pc does start faster, I have a 64bit windows 7 ultimate too and I get to the windows desktop in about 7 seconds.
But it has nothing to do with RAM difference of course, start up time mainly depends on your drive speed and the extra hardware you have installed and you need to switch some unnecessary bios messages off.
Windows does reserve a lot of memory for something, in fact no matter how much memory you have installed that damn windows seems to eat it all. But unless you run some 64-bit games (do you?) there is NO WAY to use that exta memory, because 32 bit process simply can't adress it.
If you do run 64-bit games (do you have 64-bit metro?) then let's compare the frame rates.

SSD is excellent though, I have one of those as well, 3rd generation (between 500-550MB/s). A night and day difference when compared to an old-fashioned hard drive... If only they'd come in affordable 2TB variants...

FPS

Add to that the fact that any properly developed game looks infinitely better on PC and you're spot-on.
@RAM: 8GB is sufficient for gaming as most games are still 32-bit only (which means an absolute maximum of 4 GB RAM and a usual maximum of 2GB).

So Caineghis. I notice that in your vids doing Gold/Plat matches that u r able to withstand more damage with char on 825 health. i find that even on Silver I have times where I take massive damage from a couple of hits, that's why I asked u re spec. i play lvl 20 Soldier with Lvl 5 Stronghold or the +2 and extra Assault damage (sorry name escapes me at min). possibly my connection to the EA servers then? I get about 130k soloing bronze, i'm an avg sort of player really. lots of xp on ME, played it for past 3 years or so plus fps games for about 12 years. I'm just curious really.
Are you asking a question?
