Hi folks,
I searched for an answer in the many topics about lightmapper issues but could not find anything to fix mine. So I'll try to explain you what is wrong with my exterior level hoping for some answers.

I made an exterior with a large water plan, a specific atmosphere (with clouds and fog) a deep skybox giving the player illusion of a vast landscape. I ran first the lightmapper and encounter no issue in the toolset. Then I add other stuff to my level and ran again the lightmapper with no problem.
Then I tried to add retextured models (with DATools) to my level, it worked but when I launched the lightmapper, I encountered the "meta data not found" for my custom models error, and my landscape was full of strange big strong shadows whereas some models were fully lit and other really dark after the lightmapper was done. I tried to solve this with removing custom models from my level, I don't even encounter the "meta data" issue, but the lights/shadows are still wrong.

I give you two pics, one without lightmap, one with.

I don't know the answer, but that's a nice looking level you got there.

Ok thanks, I'm still trying to solve this. If anyone else has an answer, I'd be very grateful.

I was having the same issue, but I tried posting all locals and loading it into an area to see if it worked that way. The lightmap showed up normally but still looked corrupted in the level editor. I'd say give that a shot and see if it helps.
