I originallyy posted this in a different forum, but it was suggested there that I should post it here to get an answer. Apologies if I'm still in the wrong place! 

I'm trying to install the Grey Wardens of Ferelden mod for my game (mod downloaded from Dragon Age Nexus) and
am unable to get it to work. I followed the instructions and attempted
to install it via the DAUpdater, but I simply get an error message that
says that the updater encountered a problem an needs to close every time
I try.

Could this have to do with running the game through
Steam? I had to search the computer just to find the DAUpdater as it
wasn't in the folder I was sent to look in via the mod's main page (the
folder didn't even exist), so I'm worried that I can't use the mod
becuase my copy of the game is through Steam.

Any help would be much appreciated! I've never had this problem with a mod in the past so I'm not sure what to do here.

DAUpdater is useless. Use one of the the 3rd party installers instead:

Thank you! I'll give those a shot and see if they solve the problem. I appreciate the help very much.

You can always install the mod manually if those 3rd party installers don't work. Dazips are just zip files in disguise.

Also, users of my mod have been reporting downloading issues from the Nexus, and I've experienced it myself when downloading larger mods. Basically, the mod thinks it's done downloading, but it's not really. Missing/corrupt/incomplete files makes it so the mod can't install and when it does, it doesn't work properly. Re-downloading the mod may fix the issue. I had to download one mod from the Nexus three times before it installed and played properly.
