If you don't have the weapon packs then equip them with the Particle Rifle.

I didn't think the squaddies ran out of ammo?...Will keep that in mind about the
Beam' Weapons and penetration mods....thank you for the heads up....

They don't run out of ammo, it just gives them more 'bullets' before they have to reload.StayFrosty05 wrote...

Actually, the penetration mod does work on the Particle Rifle.BornFree87 wrote...

Really? I've equipped Ashley and garrus with the mod in the past and they didnt seem to get past guardian shields with it.

Will be trying out the Particle, Revenant and Harrier next....I am feeling a little uncertain about the Typhoon, is the Typhoon over powered?...I don't want it to be too easy.

Yeah, I'm leaning toward the Typhoon being a bit OP on squaddies. Throw it on one of them for lulz, but if you feel like you aren't getting enough kills in give them something else to use.
What's the Typhoon like for distance?.....My Sheps outfitted with the Black Widow, so anywhere with range he has usually cleared the field well before they reach it....would the Typhoon interfere with that?...Is when my Shep comes into his own, I would hate to loose that....I maybe would like to utilize the Typhoon for the Waves section during Priority Earth....Infiltrators are squishy up close, I struggle with the Waves on Priority Earth.....but other than that, I prefer challenge and would rather my squaddies not take that away.

I think your idea of giving them the Typhoon on missions where you are force into close quarters is right on point though. I keep my AR squaddies carrying it mostly for emergencies, or if i feel like trying to play through a mission with my toes.

That's a good question, but I don't have a really good answer for you. My gameplay has taken place in mid to close range since I got the dlc. I will say that I have my AR squaddies carrying the Typhoon, but I often have them switch to their secondary because I want some damn kills. Damn Garrus and Vega, taking all my damn kills.

Thank you for your response CapnCruuuch.....In fact I will be going into game shortly and will outfit Garrus and James with the Typhoon for one mission and come back later with my own answer about distance if your curious.....Garrus is specced with the Black Widow himself for his alternate....Shep, Garrus and Ash all outfitted with the Black Widow on the right missions is brutal....a whole lot of fun....

The typhoon is pretty good at distance. However you do need to have the stability mod on it as it is currently bugged. But that will take care of the recoil bug and the accuracy on the typhoon is pretty good. So while its not as good as something like thr GPR at range, the typhoon is not bad at all. However it shouldn't interfere with your BW at all. But if you forget to switch its not going to kill you either.

@Sharkboy....then I am very glad that tends to be the first mod I tend to outfit the weapons with....it doesn't give the Typhoon the distance the Black Widow has luckily...Thank you for the heads up.

@ CapnCruuunch...The Typhoon hasn't the distance to take my fun away with the Black Widow....in fact it's proving to compliment the primary Sniper quite nicely....I am finding my Shep can just concentrate on his sniping without having to worry so much about what's closing in on him.....just setting the triangle formation with Shep at point....working out quite nicely.

Nice, thanks for following up on that! My very first run was an infiltrator, but I went shotgun for a long time and then Raptor (was playing on Normal at the time). Looking forward to doing a "pure" sniper insanity run in the future.

Yeah I prefer Harrier on my Shep, but I do think (without doing any numbers or proper testing) that the Typhoon gets better results out of squaddies.

I have done a pure Sniper headshot only, never allowed to miss, never allowed to die Insanity run on ME2....but I don't think I could manage it with ME3....I'm not very good at gaming and since reverting to Keyboard/Mouse after Controller, I am still trying to get used to it and am dismal....

I have been thinking about testing out the other recommended guns for my squaddies, the Harrier being one of them...am still playing around with watching gameplay with each weapon.

This time, I'm using the Mattock and give the PPR to Javik. Also effective, though usually stuff is dead to biotic boom-booms before AR fire. Insanity, AdeptShep.
