Immersion breaking moments (such as: avenger cutscenes, James Vega's introduction and the entire autodialogue start)

Choices have had their importance in the past diminished. Save the council or not?  Doesnt matter.  Rewrite the geth or destroy? Doesnt really matter. Save or destroy collector base? Doesnt really matter.

Ship dialogue mostly reduced to "click the ( ) and then just run in circles while you have a 'conversation' about something" rather than the more scenematic approach where the camera cuts to a closeup and you can actually have a conversation about various topics using the dialogue wheel.

Lack of ME2 squadmate interaction and romance. 

EMS system and the crucible plot is ridiculous. 

That about covers my top reasons why it sucks.

Kohistani was born in 1987 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan (then part of the Soviet Union) to a family of Afghan refugees of Tajik ethnicity.

Plus the order of the top 5 has clearly been accidentally reversed.

In an RPG I was flat out asked to headcanon the fate of my PC.....REPEATEDLY.

To me it does not suck, but the top 5 things I did not like:

1. Glitches (especially the animation glitches)
2. There could have been more dialogue options at places.
3. I miss some of the good old - sensless though, but entertaining - N7 missions (exploration)
4. Sound issues - being an audiophil it's very annoying to me - missing ambiance and sounds or sounds very low in the mix
5. Some of the former choices could have been dealt with a bit more creativity (rachni, the council decision etc.... the collector base does not bother me that much, it was more of character display, moral decision)

2. Linear storyline (copy and pasted fetch quests, lack of explorable areas, etc.)
3. Lack of satisfying cultivation of war assets
4. Treatment of ME2 characters (including unrealistically trying to shoehorn them all into situations)
5. Overemphasis on fighting Cerberus

This is amusing. Used to be that certain elements were better, others worse than previous games, the ending was sub-par, a/k/a sucked - it can be elaborated but few arguments there. Now the entire game sucks, and it undermines the entire trilogy, it's all a dang waste and we're so very angry *mutters and hands out pitchforks*

Couldn't help it , it seems nothing brings people together for a discussion like a good old fashioned, eventually generalized hate fest , since the justified reaction months ago, eloquence degenerated into downright pettiness.


That said, certain decisions were downplayed or undermined as if time till release date and funding was short, and the ending is what it is, but that's it. Mass effect 3 sucks is what an angry child would say.

I don't think the game sucks but my top 5 complaints, only vaguely in order

1. Autodialogue/moving too far from RPG to shooter for my tatste
2. Uneven mission quality
3. Vast inequality in treatment/screentime of squadmates
4. Questionable story choices at times (Crucible, Starchild, etc.) - i'm including pre-EC endings here. Post-EC they're not perfect but they're more tolerable.
5. The feeling that only a handful of things I did in the previous two games mattered (I get that you don't want to unfairly limit new gamers, though)

because the decision of whether he is alive or dead falls in the shoulders of the storytellers and they chose to feed me only implications. I have no problem headcanoning what my Shepard would do after he survives....the problem is I do not know if he actually survives or not

I don't care that Shepard says goodbye and it fixes the disappearing squad mates plot hole i just don't believe Shepard (even if it's not mine) is just going to call Joker (who is in a major space battle) to pick up two teammates i thought the admiral said "no turning back!" or am i wrong

I still like the game though  pain is pleasure

Yeah, not a major concern of mine either. So it's alright to relax.
