I love it on my FQE, and it really doesn't get dodged that much. Even if it does, 1. it's got such a low cooldown that it doesn't inhibit gameplay very much for me, & 2. it basically sets up the dodging enemy for an easy headshot.

Hah, recon mine will wipe out a lot of mooks if you spam it, especially on the Drell infiltrator.  Then just leave it up to debuff bosses.  Not to mention the wall hack sight.  Recon mine is waaaaaaaaay better than cyro blast.

Well I agree. It's a multi-debuff with a huge radius. It does everything Cryo does at a larger scale. And can be detonated. 


And you need to wait 3 seconds for it to work. 3 seconds are a loooooooong time. Looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong.

And you also can only have 1 active at a time.

It might be debatable,you might like one more than the other, but in no universe recon mine is way better than cryo blast.

Well I've seen Feneckus Vol Engineer. And Xcal's Drell Infiltrator. And play them myself. Recon mine - freakin awesome. 

12 meter radius slow down, 25% more damage and 2000 more damage when exploded. And a wallhack for the whole team.

And the damage recon mine does is rather massive when you consider the number of enemies that can be caught in one explosion.

Now that I think of it, Cryo Ammo should also prime CEs on Armored Targets. Would certainly give me a reason to use my 100+ Cryo IV.

Well, Tactical Scan is a lot worse and the nades of the Drell Infiltrator are really bad too. I much rather have CB instead so I don't have to wait til Xmas before the damn animation finishes or those nades reach the target.

Well, I think Tactical Scan is great if you only take the first 3 or 4 ranks and only use it on heavy bosses (Banshee, Atlas, Prime, Praetorian, Scion).

And how are you supposed to detonate something while you're waiting for the casting animation & cooldown? When you cast CB and have a 200% cooldown bonus the target will be frozen solid long before your Incinerate gets there.

I'm definitely not saying recon mine is bad. In no way. I'm just saying it's not so much better than cryo blast. They're around the same level of utility in my opinion, it just depends on the person which one he likes more.

ANYTHING that makes Cryo Ammo actually something I'd want to use is welcome. That stockpile is too big. :pinched:

This one's pretty clear on the power screen.

But yeah, it wouldn't hurt if Bioware made a little effort and made the descriptions in this game match what the powers/anything else actually do :whistle:

Well, I think Tactical Scan is great if you only take the first 3 or 4 ranks.


You can do a lot more damage when you just use your weapon than cast TS (and wait for 2 seconds) and start shooting. The only time TS makes any kind of difference in how quick you can kill stuff is when you use it on bosses when multiple teammates are attacking it. You can use CB without slowing down your RoF AND have the 25% damage bonus (on multiple targets) = much better.

Ah, so it must have 1n of force or some other negligible amount

That means they can just add a little more without a patch

If we could figure out the least amount of force to detonate Xplosions

Before it does any noticeable damage, CB would become an awesomingly mind boggling Meh power!

Or at least the tech version of throw...

But I like telling my teammates what to shoot at without speaking a word. :wizard: And it sounds and looks cool, too!

But yeah, TS on anything smaller than a Scion is wasted. Especially outside of Platinum.

Cryo Blast has 150N base force.

EDIT: 150N should be enough to stagger Assault Trooper, Nemesis, Cannibal, Husk, Geth Trooper, Collector Trooper, Collector Captain and Abomination.

Almost certain this is a bug, though.
Would make no sense otherwise, since Snap Freeze primes on all targets and it already doesn't have any modifiers (unlike all other explosions).

CB staggers everything with a (red) health bar (regardless shields & barriers) except phantoms, swarmers and swarms.

It did stagger Geth Pyros before the latest patch too, but AFAIK that doesn't work anymore. Not entirely sure about that though, but I only fight Geth in Platinum games when there is no way to avoid the bastards ;)
