Dying to get back to SP to try out the Venom shotgun. But I'm planning to finish my Vanguard and Sentinel (played mostly as a caster) runs before my Soldier. Has anyone had luck with the Venom on either of these classes, or a class that depends more on power usage? Thanks.
Edit: For reference, both are maximum level ME2 imports, and lately I've enjoyed running my 'guard with the Argus.

I have not run the Venom for any length of time on any class, but considering I have run the Claymore on an Engineer, I do not think you will that much of a problem with the Venom.
Although I should note that I was not trying to combo by myself with that particular Engineer, so I cannot say how well it would have actually gone. Considering that you can save on Mars at the beginning before you pick up the Mantis or the workbench later on, you can always save then try the Venom. Note that you will not have had the chance to upgrade it to level V yet so you will take a bigger weight hit; plus depending on how you spec your import, you may not have an increased weight capacity in your passive either.
I used the Venom on my Engineer for the first time and I thought it was a pretty good shotgun... until I used the N7 Piranha which is now my shotgun of choice for that class. When I first got the Venom I had low expectations for it but it surprised me how good it was (charging it really helps since it launches three micro-grenades with the two other rounds) it has the capacity of the Geth Plasma Shotgun which isn't surprising considering its power. I haven't used it on the Geth, but as of right now I'm not planning on it because I'm trolling them with the Adas Anti-synthetic Rifle (which is awesome against the Geth). And as RedCaesar97 said: it has a high weight so try to upgrade it before you use it so it is at the lowest weight possible for the first play-through for your character.
