2) To run out the clock on fan rage and return policies.

Pretty expensive way to heartlessly run down the clock, isn't it?

Not if half of this stuff, like Omega was already half rendered in primary development, which it very likely was.

Me3 created the biggest negative fan reaction in videogame history. This is nothing to be proud of.

Actually, the fan reaction was pretty typical of a dissapointing game these days. Bioware is one of the few companies that care enough to do something about it, mainly because their fan base is less forgiving than others. DA2 sold about half the copies that DAO did. Just imagine how badly ME4 would fare if Bioware didn't do anything.

I have never seen game dissapointment make a national news network...ever Not even getting close.

Nor have I ever seen fan outcry get Amazon to offer full refunds either due to the product not being as advertized.

So unless this happened for FO3, DA2, Space Marine and whatever others people know of please inform me and I'll retract the question I'm reiterating right now.

What world are you living in?

Don't be bitter at me for pointing out your ignorance.

I don't define the EC as something that satisfies but that's just me.

I wonder if DA III will be any good. DA 1 and 2 never caught my interest at all.

Meh, I'll probably never get a chance to play it if it comes out for a next gen console. It should br decent though, since they have a good universe to wrok with.

Ehh...do they? That's one of my main reasons why. There's a lot of incredibly rich and beautiful fantasy worlds and stories out there, and Thedas always struck me as kind of bland and flat.

So we agree on this, biggest negative fan reaction in videogamehistory ever. ok? Because it was big. Usually fanoutcrys are limited the developers forum.
This one created charitys, protests, real media attention, new websites and spinoffs in alternate universe, all very popular.

I guess the conflicts interest me, even though their predictable. I like sticking my nose into people's business and working it out. Though I have noticed on my latest playthrough of Origins that Bioware does like to make victims out of a certain side. Such as the mages and the werewolves. Like Mass Effect. the characters really drive my enjoyment of those games.

Sorry for the double post, but I can't edit from tbis device. I don't think the outcry was bigger as much as the outcry was more organized than others.

Kind of reminds me of Skyrim before it came out.

I was excepting the absolutely-most-awesome-ultimate-fantasy-RPG, ever, ever. I was expecting it to do just about everything perfectly. And given how outstanding Fallout 3 was, I was confident they could do it.

And well, it didn't. It didn't come close. There were a lot of things the developers talked about that they didn't really follow through with. I haven't even finished it halfway.

DA III's kind of in the same position. People expect a great story, great graphics, a great world to explore...let's hope they're able to pull it off.

Yeah, I didn't really have expectations for it. My friend let me borrow it and then I decided to buy the ultimate edition for about 13 bucks. Pretty fun for the price.

Actually,  people are just hoping it'll be better that DA2.  And that EA's policy if "Everything must gave multiplayer" doesn't freak things up too badly.  The few hints revealed so far is encouraging, But a lot of folk are still in wait and see mode afraid to touch the fire again after DA2 and ME3 (and here's hoping the DA team took copious notes on the ending fallout.  Better notes than the ME team anyway)

The same 20 or so people complaining over and over again is really troubling.

Oh wait, no it's not. Go outside.

I asked this to you once before so I'll ask again.

Its the same 20 people complaining over and over, and its the same 20 people defending it over and over.

What's your point?

The cycle will continue forever UNLESS.

Both sides destroy each other.

The mods take control

Or they synthesize with each other.
