I'm just a bit short of 2,100. I basically promote each time I hit level 20 as a way to force myself into using new characters and play styles. It keeps the game fresh for me as a result, but I can understand the reasoning why some people never promote. (A couple of people on my friend's list are at 120, so I assume they just leveled each kit up to 20 and then never promoted from there.)

3600 I like even numbers and after botb was completed I only needed 5 more to get to 3600 so figured why not. I most likely will never promote again

2185. Months ago I had this foolish hope that when the Ending DLC came out, they would add a secret "happy" ending if your war assets were high enough. I also really hated the fetch quests in SP and wanted to get my war assets high enough so that I could skip them in any future playthroughs. So SP was the main reason for promoting; the second being I liked to try out different builds and keep things interesting. Then I realized it's much easier to max out your manifest if you stay at 20 and play gold/platinum.

Now I'm slowly promoting again for the N7 challenge.

You aren't getting anything relevent because everything your posting has no relevance, and now I see your trying desperately to "embarass" me, as your buddie pointed out earlier, for w/e reason, rather than come up with anything that (solidly) supports your opposing argument.

Actually, now, i'm starting to think you just can't read between the lines of what someone post rather than exactly whats written. Either way, do everyone who doens't want this thread closed a favor from constantly derailing topic with your pointless atempt at making me look bad to people i don't know, probably wont ever know, and really don't care how they would think of me. I can't give you any effort cause I realize you aren't really reading my reply post as much as trying to come up with some way to make me look foolish by turning and twisting things around because you failed to comprehend what I post.

If you want to continue to attempt to be the "internet bully," I'd gladly accept and delete PMs from you rather than further derail a topic thats better off without you or I in it.

My thoughts on promoting/scoreboard/N7 ratings are solid an religous. (Since you can't comprehend, I'm saying I wont change my mind) They have been tested and proven with to many experiments on xbox.

Now please. Do your best.;)

"Trying desperately to embarrass me"? Ronnie, Ronnie, please, credit where it's due, that's all on you buddy!

What's that? I can't read between the lines? Sorry to disappoint, but I can't read common sense, logic and reason where there isn't any. I tried but I'm no miracle worker! Here's what you can do, maybe next time try not writing a bunch of BS and it won't be read as such, mmkay?

You want me to send you a PM which no one can see and which you will delete and continue to present deluded opinions as facts where everyone can see but expect not to be called out on them? Surely a brave lvl 1 spectre such as yourself can't be that cowardly and naive? You kill possessed abominations with nothing but a lvl X harrier! :o

By all means, keep bowing before the N7 altar. For once you used a good analogy. ;) Meanwhile, I don't see why I should do my best when my worst attempt at refuting your 'arguments' is akin to punching Conrad.... Doesn't make him any smarter, but it's fun to do and it takes zero effort. :wizard:

Curiousity begs me to ask you, what is the average game time you spend playing in public gold and platinum games. Just curious. And whatever time it is, how do you feel it compares to others. Not saying it matters for any reason, just asking what your idea of legit pub gold and platinum game times should be.

Just so we are clear as well, my view isn't narrow, its very accurate and repeatable on xbox 360. Which is why I as well as a couple others like me, (even those who chose not to promote like yourselvez) have set it as routine. Refusing to promote is actually practiced by few compared to those who regularly promote. If anyones view is "narrow" its those who think because they aren't gaining anything, they shouldnt do something.

mine is at 1773, but that's only because I got booted from the ME3 server before I could promote the last class I 20'd
I tend to play whatever class is at the highest level(while focusing on whatever challenges I feel I can best accomplish with that class) and then buy packs til I get a class and then repeat

I was considering adding reasons for my N7 ranking but then I realised no one reading this - especially not at this point - really cares about how any other random nobody got their N7 ranking.... those readers just want to rush to the quick reply box and post there own. Hardly anyone will read what I post and those that do, won't care.

I have always promoted, until now. Once I reached N7 5000 I decided to keep my level 20 Fury, Shadow & Vanguards the way they are and just promote my Soldiers, Engineers, & Sentinals. Logic being that power dependent characters are lacking early on while the arms dependent classes can be amped easier for the same effect.

My N7 rating is quite high, because I enjoyed promoting, trying different stuff and play as LVL 1 on Gold. In the group I'm playing with regularly we kind of raced each other for N7 ratings. Back in the day I'd make like 200-300 ranks per day.
I didn't promote in quite a while now though. When I started grinding the character waves for banners, I left the characters at LVL 20 for convience and since then, I've only promoted sparsely and eventually I stopped. Maybe I'll promote again sometime, but right now I enjoy using my LVL 20's for a change.

540 right now.

Was at 360 with 1 promotion each class (2 in 2 or 3 of them for an old challenge) but I promoted again to reset my characters powers.

I'm in the mid 500s (forget exactly where) because I don't like promoting, and only do it for weekend challenges, or when I want to respec a character. I'm used to the respec cards being rare, so it still makes me paranoid to use them, even though they're uncommon now.

The only reason I appreciate challenge points is because they give a more accurate read of how much I play (although since their debut I've slowed down playing quite a bit).

Just to play devil's advocate a little, I don't consider myself a promoter (for the reasons I previously stated), but even with few promotions, I'm in the top 6% in N7 rank. I don't think N7 indicates my experience at ALL, as my challenge points are ALREADY proportionally higher than my N7, and my loadouts are frequently better than those of PUGs I play with who have higher N7 rank.

Rank CAN be a good indicator of experience playing the game when it's high, but when it isn't high, it's no real indicator at all. Your best bet is to look at a combination of rank, Challenge points, and loadouts.

500 exactly right now. I don't go for the challenge, I promote when I want to try new builds.

The RNG gods are not generous with their reset powers cards >.>

When I first started I ranked up to 3000 just so that I could reach out to higher ranked players for higher level matches and have my message/invite taken seriously as higher ranking at the time for other's meant higher skill (not the case of course).

I then continued ranking up for fun as I would use my promotions as a way to respec my characters and not have to depend on reset cards. I did that a lot and also ranked up to just simply have a high N7 but then I stopped. I used to play a lot with IAMxSHADRACH when he was playing and he was the top ranked player for a long time so I figured I may as well rank up as well.

I really see no reason for me to continue to rank up so I stopped. I do need to do so for one of my challenge banners so I will soon just for that and stop again. I think if I would have continued to rank up and promote since the beginning I would most likely be a 18-21k rank. Dont really care about it anymore but it would be nice to get it to an even number like 10k. Well see if I feel up to it.

N7 in sig. I promote every time I do a spending spree...usually have all characters at 20, promote them all, then blow 2-3 million in packs. By the time I'm done most classes are back near or above level 10.

Rinse and repeat.

Any number divisible by 30 can be achieved. sadly 10,000 is not among them. 30,000 is though lol.
