I got it to 1,000 back in August, just for kicks, and was going to stay there. Then they added the challenges.

So I finished N7 Mastery at around 2700, and then bumped it up to 3000 so I could get back to a round number.

1194, I'll stop promoting when I finish the N7 challenge and then settle to the closest 000 number. I'm not hurrying though, I like playing level 20 characters. I was stuck in 900 for about a month...

I'm currently at 600. I promoted a few times for the heck of it, then got bored and didn't promote again until weekend challenges required it.

This method led to my having an N7 of 420 for a while. Many LOLs and assumptions were made based on that but, alas, my vice is alcohol and not the weed. I did not actively seek an N7 of 420, it really did just land that way. Last promotion weekend put me to 600, and I've stayed ever since because it's a nice, even number.

If I ever get any of the rest of my N7 HQ challenges remotely close to being Best of the Best, maybe I'll forfeit that 600 for the N7 Mastery banner. But I really don't look forward to that. I care nothing for promoting and re-leveling characters.

Mine is in my signature, I don't like promoting. The only time I'll do it is if I don't have a respec card.

Currently at 8967 if all works out I should stop at 9000. Then just use respec cards as desired.

630 currently, I like playing different characters so I promote, buy Reserves packs, level up, horde credits, buy more Reserve packs etc. As soon as I get a full roster I'll start working on the manifest and quite possibly do the same thing.

Not really phased about challenge points or the N7 rating. I've seen players with ratings under 100 kicking arse and others with a rating over 1000 consistently occupying the bottom score spot. It doesn't seem to accurately reflect people's abilities.

I just wanted to get to 4000.
That would guarantee minimum 5000 EMS, even at 50% readiness.
Then I could play ME3 as badly as I wanted, but still get whatever ending I wanted.
I'm, up to over 5k now.
And that's only because I'm still promoting to get my N7 Mastery.
After that, I'm probably going to leave my characters at 20.
I was going to shoot for top 10 in the US, but, I don't have the time anymore,

I go through phases of promoting, not doing it so much right now because I want to finish the map mastery challenge (and I want level 20s for that!). I like to mix things up, play different characters and change builds.

In my experience it's a fairly accurate predictor, and its accuracy goes up with each rise in challenge level.  On Bronze it's almost meaningless.  On Silver it's 50/50.  On Gold it's pretty accurate.  On Platinum, well... when was the last time most people played with an N7120 who dominated a Plat lobby?

I'm not saying it's always right, but it gives you an idea of what sort of hell you're in for, most times..

I like to play low level guys for the challenge of it and to try different builds. My N7 is over 6800

697, because playing Silver with a level 20 is wasted XP. Until I get the weapons that won't get me automatically kicked out of a Gold lobby, I'll use promotions as a gate to let me know when it is ok to spend my credits.

My N7 ranking is 1009 and I'll keep promoting until I have every gun, character, challenge, appearance upgrade, etc. I like promoting a class then jumping on silver and trolling everyone with a level one character. I bet they look at my score then see my character's level they think "wtf?!?!" then they see I got better guns then they got.



EDIT: My N7 rank is now 1047.  Just thought I'd put that out there. 

ADDITIONAL EDIT: My N7 Rank is now 1,156.  Why do I keep updating?  Why not?

I hate wasting the experience from character card drops on fully leveled classes, so for the longest time I'd save up a lot of money before a buying spree then promote and re-level my characters from the cards.

But now I'll only promote slowly to make myself think I am working towards the N7 banner.

750. I only usually promote when the weekend challenge requires it.
And while we are on the subject of N7 ratings, what is it with ppl thinking they are really good at the game just coz they have high N7 ratings? Jumped into a random gold lobby tonight with 3 guys who were all around the 10000 mark. Soon as i entered the lobby, the leader says "oh another random, lets stay off party chat so that i can tell this guy he's an idiot if he sucks."
Some ppl would probably have left the lobby just for that, but i stayed just to prove him wrong. Game was Collectors on Glacier, and i finished second. The leader of their group finished bottom...
I promptly left their lobby, satisfied on a job well done

450 atm. I'm fine w/ most my kit's specs (the ones I care about anyways, rest can be handled in time w/ respec cards) and hate re-leveling, so I don't promote anymore unless its needed for a weekend challenge. Otherwise I dun pay much attention to anyone's N7 rating and just enjoy the game (and if you think I just get carried- I only gold pug, the vast majority of matches extract, and I can clutch waves on most kits; you'll shutup about my N7 rank when you see my URs at 7-X, full equips, rank 5 gear, and challenge rating).
