My n7 went up mostly around the time when we'd get massive character cards in PSPs, I'd save up 1-2 mill and then promote then buy packs till 20.

But I also promoted a lot after retaliation t get n7 mastery. anyone with n7 master is gonna have a fairly high n7 (its 60 promotions)

At the start, I promoted in lieu of respec cards. Then, I only promoted for weekend events that required it for the goal. After the last weekend event, I was at 690 for a very, very long time.

Only recently did I decide to try to do all the challenges and started promoting again. 31 promotions in (just past halfway there...), I'm now at 1448. After I finish the challenge, I'll probably stop promoting again.

Uh... What the heck's mine?

But I don't know why it's at whatever it's at.

Originally to get it to 1620, so I didn't have to play MP for SP. Then I found out that I didn't need it with the Extended Cut-- when I was almost finished. Now I'm going for that N7 acheivement.

I actually don't know my rating and I'm to lazy to check. But I only promoted during the N7 challenges (helped contribute to allied goal too) and N7 mastery.

I have 3600 because that was where I was when I finished the N7 challenge, and it was a nice round number.

I promote to respec, only takes a few games to level a character to 20 so I really don't mind it.

i got to 1,000 after the last promotion weekend, then hit alot more after the culmination of banner unlocking

so far certain ones are almost done
but i desperately need some GOLD gamers who like to enjoy the game instead of going complete christian bale on me

The explanation of my N7 rating is that I don't give a toss about my N7 rating!

780...

When I started playing multiplayer I thought it couldn't last forever, so I decided to promote enough that even with a 50% war readiness I would still be able to obtain the "best possible endings"...
I was almost done, then BioWare lowered the required score making the whole point moot, thus my rating sort of stopped there...

1800ish - Originally I aimed for 1000 because I use to get kick because my rank was low and players thought I sucked even though I had maxed weapon. After I broke 1000 I began to promote again to rank pass my friends untill I decided I didn't care anymore.

5144, and it'll continue to climb because after I've played a few matches with any character at level 20, I promote them before I buy my next reinforcement pack. Largely because I don't want potential XP cards wasted on topped-off classes, but also because I feel like resetting my powers and building my characters back up from level 1-- "roughing it" so to speak-- teaches me to be more flexible and less dependent on powers. It pushes me to improve my use of weapons, cover, etc.

And then, because I do that, I feel like it makes the # worth something, at least to me. It's a reminder of how much I've banged away at this and provides some impetus not to slack off, because I'd feel embarrassed to play a game with people whose rankings are substantially lower than mine-- I know they might just be non-promoters-- but it makes me feel like I've got to push to live up to my #, carry my weight at the very least and not look like I've churned out all those promotions without having learned anything. It's like my "do better" note-to-self.

I am mainly promoting, because I like to try out different builds. One of the great things of ME3 MP are the many options and choices you have and some characters behave like a completely different class when specced differently.

I also hate to see the XP from a U/U/G Game go to waste or to get character cards in my packs and see those XP go to waste because that character was already at Level 20. So usually I play all my characters up to Level 20, maybe enjoy them at Level 20 for one or two games and then promote everything and buy about 25 Recruit Packs to get them back into a usuable Level range again.

So I don't care too much about my N7 rank, but just by playing a lot and applying the strategy above I have a four digit N7 rank now.

currently, i have got 1084 hours registered playtime in the MP-manifest, got the game as pre-order also - but even before starting to play the MP-mode, i read about the promotion-system on the mass effect wiki and decided against it - and kept it fatalistc as i am, through to now

- means N7 rank of exact 120 - no single slidest bit more or less, just all 6 classes "maxed" and never cared about it again - because i just cannot get enough of this digital sci-fi "superhumaning around" all day

- and as i feared too much that WE-challenge promoting would ruin the simple, self-explaining number of 120 - i have even overgone this, seems to me like i am the only person playing that long that also kept it strictly that way though

- but i always was completely satisfied like this - even though i oftenly heard
(and think it is true due to high N7 rank buddys experience with the shop)
that N7 rank affects UR-droprate - a buddy of mine had once still about 20 drops to go, than he passed N7 rank 5000 - one week later his manifest was maxed

- while i still have 10 drops on the 3 newest UR's to go this way - even after that 1084 hours... - but ey, it is just 10 drops and i feel like still having maximum fun with the game - they will come to me, nothing what makes me unhappy... .

even though i have to admit, that one might need to be such a hardcore ME player like me, to look that pationed at it... .

180. Got all the classes to level 20, and I don't see the point in promoting. I did promote the engineer and sentinel classes once for a weekend challenge though.

Word! I am at 120, really don't see the reason to promote...yet. BTW, I outscore alot of folks with a bigger N7 than mine!!! Image IPB

500 because I do what I want... seriously though it should be alot higher since I bought the game at release, but only just recently did the MP start sucking me in.

Dam thats some beautiful shyt...

This is also the reason in general, people who promote are "better" players than those who don't. Experiencing the game at "restricted" settings forces you to adapt to playing smarter, harder, and be more mindfull about your paths and choices. People will argue there is no reason to promote, but with those who do, compared to those who don't, i've been ninja turtle redicoulously more correct in assuming the higher N7s would promise smoother, better games, than putting seeds into low rank N7s who in general take every opportunity to do their best to "make me proud" (for those that can't clutch what that means, they ****** me the **** off!)

On a interesting note though, I'm more drawn to the "blue bar" than the N7 rankings now. Seeing how many times a person has promoted a particular class gives me more insight on how much they actually have played with it. You can be N7 20K and never promoted a vanguard. (i've seen single digit N7 11K class promotions)

N7 240. I'm a noob who thinks promoting is pointless.

0 (zero) adept promotions, ditto soldiers and engineers.
1 inf and sentinel promotion.
2 vanguard promotions.

Going to take it as high as it needs to be so that when the MP servers go down, I will not have to worry about the EMS dropping to 50% and not having enough to save the earth.
