Everyone read the whole post before jumping to conclusions. Geez...

The OP thinks grenade damage should scale somewhat with difficulty level.

That's not a bad idea i think.

Lol. You just take all "assists" on the map because of the range of reave an cluster grenade, not because of cluster grenade damage <_<

However, yes grenades are sometimes a bit crappy in platinum (arc grenade hello), but NO they are not less effective than other powers.

I think grenade capacity gear is OP on every difficulty level when compared to other gear. And I don't play Bronze.

Oh Lord, not saying Bronze is to easy, I'm saying the balancing of grenade refills is totally retarded, it is even the reverse of what one would consider reasonable.

It's like leaving earlier for being late. Is that really so hard to comprehend?

We should have more grenade & thermal respawns as well as increasing the amount as difficulty increases..

I meant gear as in the stuff you bring into the match with you, not just your gear slot.

IMO it is a bad idea. Scaling weapons and powers to the enemy kind of defeats the purpose of difficulty levels.

I've been playing a lot of MQE on Gold lately and I think grenades are just fine. They're tremendously powerful and that power is balanced by having to run around stocking them. I have my MQE specced so that with full Grenade gear I get 7 grenades, and that seems about right for him. I usually end up using all 5 thermal clip packs on most maps (Condor sucks though).

I think rlro would like a word with you. I found out that the only way for my laggy ass to play when he's hosting is to spam grenades (we play Gold only). I think he's a bit frustrated about my scores and all the 50 biotic kill medals with my Krogan Sentinel and Asari Vanguard.

so grenades are OP because they do what they're supposed to do........ hmmmmm nice logic !! grenades are supposed to be OP, they're explosives and also on very limited ammount, they even have a much more respawn time then weapons ammo!! probably this thread is another trolling atempt that many time is taken seriously and ends ruinning ingame stuff....... what next? missiles are OP? hmmm YES it should take 5 to take down a husk /sarcasm

The whole point is on Bronze, where everything is decent, grenades are boss killing, spawn wipers that the game re-spawns to you by the Dozen. On higher difficulties where they don't 2 shot bosses and wipe spawns on their own, they also get 2-4 times as scarce.

Really just making Ammo boxes the same across all difficulties would make sense. Instead they nerf grenade resupply AND increase enemy health and numbers. On the flip side all other powers actually SCALE with difficulty (Tech/Biotic combos do damaged based off difficulty).

OP, I agree with your point.  Availability of a basic power for several classes should not go down on higher difficulties.  The problem is that you led your argument talking about Bronze and all the cool kids on here only read far enough to find the first thing they can make fun of.  It's what makes them cool.

I can't have 4 nades, but turret can **** 5 of them every few sec as well as Scion? I think not.

Well, I wasn't speaking specifically about you, or even just this thread necessarily.  That happens here a lot.  People read far enough to find something to mock and no further.  And in this case, he provided it in the first clause of the first sentence.  Reading comprehension (or at least reading willingness) is severely lacking in our society these days.

Frag Grenades, Arc Grenades, Lift Grenades all do decent damage and can save your ass in many situations.

Cluster Grenades, Inferno Grenades, Homing Grenades all do pityfull damage and need a bigger initial BIG BANG. Maybe then, people would want to use them more often aka 'would bang again.'

Inferno Grenades are AWESOME!  The DOT is tremendous.  If you want a more impressive initial bang, detonate the fire explosion that you just primed on multiple targets.  Inferno 'Nade + Carnage = BIGFIREBANGBANG

While im all for fire explosions DOT isn't something that draws my attention because if an enemy is suffering from DoT it can still shoot at you. With grenades i look for stopping power/immediate damage.
