So at the end of Mota Varric says that he thinks Tallis will show up again. This leads me to believe she will be in DAI as a companion maybe, or maybe just an npc. So im just wondering what other people think. Will she show up? If so, a companion or not? Also do you want her to show up? And also would you want her to be a romance option?

well they would improve her. And hopefully she wouldn't have those weird eyes.

Maybe if they changed her looks a bit. I thought she was ugly too. I wouldn't mind her as an npc, but not as a LI. Her character seemed too flighty, and rather vicious to me.

I really, really don't want to see her again, but I don't doubt that we will since BioWare seems so enamoured with her. If she turns out to be a companion, I just pray that she isn't compulsory.

Well everyone knows that elves in DA2 have some design problems. Hopefully they're going to redesign them from scratch, hence Zevran, Tallis and Merrill will have decent faces this time around.

I dislike her voice way more than I dislike her face. Something about her voice acting just came off as very flat to me. I did see her in an episode of Supernatural though, and she sounded fine there, so perhaps it's just VO work rather than acting itself that she's not great in.

Tallis for President! I like Felicia Day. Is this being partially a geek thing or what. Do you identify with geekdom?

Felicia Day is cool, but I felt the Tallis character was flat. Perhaps Tallis would be better with a second appearance? After all even Captain Picard sucked for like the entire first season of TNG. Sometimes characters have to be given time to grow into themselves.

Of those three I think Merrill looked fine (better than her Origins face imo), Zevran and Tallis though were very meh. I hated Zevran's though. I think Tallis simply suffered from having a human face in a world/game where the elves were now very non-human esque. Imo Merrill, Marethari, Orsino and Fenris looked fine everyone else however was either okay or just passable which when the humans and dwarves looked great it made the elves look that much worse. If we still had it I wouldn't mind it though since I rarely use elves in my party...which is kind of racist of me

I don't think she'll be a companion again though, an appearance...maybe. I wouldn't mind either but idk it's not on my wishlist.

She was pretty from some angles, much less so from others. Almost kill it with fire, maybe more kill it with slightly warmed sticks. And I agree with the Miranda thing.

Then there's the bit of Mary-Sue she had, but that can easily be polished out I think. Most of all though, I thought her dialogue was slightly too modern for Thedas. Again, just needs a bit of polishing, in my opinion. If she did come back, I hope it would be as a companion, on the condition she kept the unique fighting style, (and that the PC could learn it).

I'm afraid she will show up again, but I certainly hope not. The first and only Bioware character that I hate because I consider her badly written. She's had her great little Tallis show in the DLC already. That was more than enough.

The issue wasn't the design of elves, it was the... product of them trying to implement an irl face in the game without heavily altering it.  Idk what it is, sometimes its fine like Sheploo, usually faces that are heavily altered like Morrigan are fine too.  But Tallis shares the same problem Allers did, something went wrong in translation and they look like puffy cheeked mutants.

About her looks: as long as DA:I incorporates as much moddability on PC as DA2 still had despite lack of toolkit, I would be fine. Someone managed to smooth out her features, to be had:

As for her reappearing: I certainly hope that she will, since I liked her for showing that qunari are not just "oxmen" (I like the kossith as is already; seeing more qunari converts of different peoples would be welcome as well). The qun in general I find a lot more agreeable than the, at times, shizophrenic 'white' Chantry who hopefully will only be the initial employer of the 'Inquisitor'.

ooh I agree. That's one big reason I luv tallis, she shows the better side of the qun.
