yeah .. this game was made for the north american region .. and parts of the usa are not that open minded. i dont know how the canadian society ticks.

well .. they are not open in general when it comes to sexuality. they show exploding heads in games and movies - but a bare breast is "pornographic".
can you remember the female soldiers who were giving their childs the breast? the media called it a "disgrace of the uniform" i banged my head on the desk that day .. i mean .. its a mother, who is feeding her child. this happend to all of us.

well .. apr. 10% of humanity is gay. gay people are there, they have ever been there and they will always be there. people should get used to it.

Yep. When my cousin lived in Munich for a few months she told everyone she was Canadian -- admitting she was an American was too embarrassing. I forget which idiotic witch-hunt we were engaging in that year. Might have been the Monica Lewinsky business.

Really?  Embarrassed
about being American, that sounds like a personal problem.  Just means
that someone has listened way to much to the anti-American news.  How come
Americans are supposed to be embarrassed in other countries, and yet when nationals
come to America they have to be treated with kid gloves?  Then when any
country needs help, military and non-military, America is the first place
called.  Then when we don't help, we get ridiculed, and then when help we
get ridiculed?

well ... wich state declared the first "state of defense" in natos history and treated the other nations with exit, if the others dont follow to afghanistan? ...

What?  What are you trying say?

Stop bringing up religious or political debates in here.

And anyway, I knew Steve was gay before I played ME3, so I wasn't surprised. Also I was glad you had to flat-out say you were interested in him to romance him. The ninjamances bothered me in ME1.

retconing
kaiden was awkward - really. "i am more into adventurous women." did he
turn bisexual over night or what? btw. did they retcon ash as well? she
was not clearly heterosexual in the first game ..

The retcon for Kaidan was a late editing change in ME1. ME3 just restores him to where he was supposed to be.

since it was never shown in me1, it did not happen but i would have been totally ok with that .. what about ash?

I'm not certain. I've heard the Kaidan sound files, but I don't recall about Ash.

Ash also had femshep romance in ME1, just like Tali had one in ME2() and ME3(), they recorded the lines for both genders but decided not to include them in the final version for whatever reason.

"I'm an Ameircan! I have rights!"

For some reason, many times when Americans visit other countries, they think that being American gives them privileges or that their American rights transfer with them. This is not the case.

Instead of being feeling humbled or honored when we visit other countries, some of us tend to act like @sshats.

i really dont care who kisses who. i think in this day and age it is nice to know that actually someone loves you. doesnt matter if you're gay, straight, whatever. we all like to be loved. Gay marriage doesnt bother me. Straight people getting married doesnt bother me.

Me i've been married now for 20 years to my gorgeous wife. I have 2 children, one 19 year old laddo and a beautiful daughter aged 11 who suffers from CP. They are my life. I have a sister who is gay. hey shes gay......but shes my sister... err..... and......

sexuality really doesnt matter. who gives a smeg if someones gay? she'd be there fighting the reapers, just like me.. (and she does) we are all human.

I think there are worse things than who loves who to worry about. Whatever rocks your boat and all that. Fact that Steve is gay doesnt bother me at all. he's fighting the reapers just like the rest of us. thats all that matters to shepard. thats all that should matter to the rest of us.

Not to start a moral debate but I was thinking about you said in your first sentence about what does it matter who loves you?

We live in a society that views incest relationships as being wrong. Now from scientific standpoint it just isn't productive to carry on the genes without having birth defects. So we say it not natural.

Gay people can't reproduce. All though they can adopt or be bisexual. Yet Gay people would not survive on their own as a species if that is their desire and stuck behind their decision to be exclusively gay!! So being Gay is unnatural, just like incest is unnatural but throwing the word named love seems to make no sense?

Just say that a brother or sister fall in love and this happens more times than you would know. Yet we say it is wrong? Yet why is it wrong? Because we say it.

We live in world that we have these options to be gay or whatnot. Yet if there was a meteor that struck the earth and it wiping out most of mankind. This luxury of being gay would go out the window for the survival of the species.

Obviously people have choices. Yet if a gay person wants to past down their genes they wouldn't be able to do it naturally unless they hire a surrogate mother or father. This is just matter of facts and truth. It isn't suppose to insult gay people!

Definitely. More so than the actual line, I was really eyerolling at the fact he just happened to be listening to that recording when I got there, and that he was playing it out loud.

Well I always found it interesting that out of the people I know, very few even have passports. Yet, it seems like international travel is pretty common for non Americans.

It is like we only go out of the country for spring break and honeymoons.

He's not the stereotypical gay guy so yea it was kind of surprising at first.

You expected him to wear a pink Alliance uniform and talk like Gok Wan while telling Liara she looks "FABULOUS!" after every mission?

Partially because it's so cheap there. You can take a plane from France to London for like 50 or 100 bucks, where here it'd likely be 300 or something. Much cheaper there, because of the EU.

I agree that people
sometimes act like **** Holes/Hats, but that is not just Americans.  It is
all people, from all countries.  To say otherwise is ignorant.  And
to apologize for what you are or pretend to be something different than you
are, is just plain cowardly.

“I am American, I have
rights.”  You watch too many movies, and
I have a news flash people say that here in America too whenever they talk to
police.  The people that say that are
morons wherever they are and usually have no idea what their rights are… and
probably couldn’t afford to go to another country anyway.

This is a video game and I have the luxury of that.

lets leave the Asari out of this since they can mate with both genders and not worry about extinction. A cat and dog can't have happy CAT puppies.

I am sure if there was some sort of genetic tampering you might be able to pull it off? So far I haven't seen a dog and cat having babies. Apply that logic to the turian and quarian romance!

edit I meant I never seen a cat puppy before?
