Btw, here's my biggest fear about the Niners - the field goals. Akers has been atrocious the entire season and you cannot expect Kaepernick to really carry the team. (We all know he's no Tom Brady.) Either case, I'm trying my best not to get too worked up about football since I have an extreme fear of disappointments (and hence my constant pessimistic approach to all things).
At least TV season is back.

As a huge Niners fan, I am hoping the Seahawks lose against the Falcons. That is unlikely to happen though. And I'm not saying we're taking the game against the Packers for sure either. My point is I hate the Seahawks and Pete Carroll (I have a thing against USC, don't ask me why). I'll root for any team against the Seahawks.

Kapernick held up well against Tom Brady during the regular season. I mean they practically killed the Patriots, if it wasn't for them giving up so many points at the end. I don't think it will be a competition if both those teams meet up in the Superbowl. My one problem with the Niners is their special teams, remember the play-off game versus the Giants.
The Seahawks really do deserve a Superbowl win, especially with Russell Wilson who has been so underrated. Forget Luck, RG III, and Tannehill, Wilson is the best rookie of the three.

Rooting for the Seahawks, Packers, Texans this week, and I couldn't care less who wins the Baltimore/Denver game.
Oh stop pouting guys. You got two Championships this past decade its okay
Just fun ribbing. Grew up and lived (been back for some years) in central Maryland so its always been a heavy mix of Steelers, Ravens, and Redskins fans everywhere. Steelers and Ravens usually make for some of the best games every season.

I'm a bit rusty on the good ol pigskin football, but I think the ravens broncos game should be pretty good, and the texans and pats I am hoping to be good, but I get a feeling the pats are going to do well. Ideally...I would like to see the pats and packers go at it at the superbowl...but we will see this weekend!!!
Also....Joe Buck sucks. I like Troy Aikman...but Joe Buck suuuuuccckkkssss. He doesn't know anything about football!!!! The announcers for cbs tho are true professionals.

Damn, Peyton Manning let me down! Well, I don't mind them losing to the Ravens. I guess my picks are down to San Francisco and the Seahawks. I'm hoping the Ravens make the Superbowl now. Kaepernick isn't doing too bad so far against Greenbay. I'm still super pissed about the interception Manning threw. A whole lot of mistakes from the tight ends as well.
No shame in that lose what so ever and don't worry plenty of mistakes made by the Ravens
Ya that muffed punt return by GB was bad.

I would and wouldn't like to see a Ravens vs 49'rs Superbowl. It would be neat to see head coachs that are brothers in there but Jim seems to have Johns number.

Yeah, I would think everyone would've jumped ship from the Broncos and went with a Patriots bandwagon. I guess the Manning and Broncos fans hate the Patriots more than the Ravens. I was really hoping to see the Manning/Brady rivalry during the championships, oh well.
You know I actually forgot about how they're brothers when I typed that... I'd say that would be a good Superbowl only because both teams represent my favorites in these match-ups.
I wouldn't mind seeing Atlanta or the Seahawks at the Superbowl either, but the Ravens are the only team in the AFC that are my favorites this play-off round. The Texans have let me down too many times for me to think they will even come close to beating Brady and the Patriots, but regardless, I'm not a Texans fan. J.J. Watt was a fraud during the Patriots game; he hardly even touched Brady.
Well tonights match-ups:
I don't see Atlanta beating the Seahawks. Atlanta looked horrible against the Panther's "Read Option." Atlanta only got worse the second time they played Carolina, so I think the Seahawks will utilize the "Read Option" and Wilson will run all over the Falcon's defense.
As for the Texans vs. Patriots, I'm hoping the Texans win, but I won't hold my breath. The Texans were destroyed the last time they played the Patriots. The Texans also didn't look so good against Indy during the wild-card match-up. I'm picking the Texans to win but only because I hate the Patriots.
I guess I'm 3-3 in my picks so far. These games are going to be more shaky than my last picks. I'm kind of hoping Atlanta wins because it will be easier for the 49ers to win in the championship against Atlanta than the Seahawks, but I like the Seahawks more than Atlanta.

Man, Denvers D did NOT show up to play yesterday. Paaaaaaathetic.
Yeah, the commentators kept mentioning how they were #2 in the league. Torrey Smith was just too fast for Champ Bailey. Seriously, they should've done something about that match-up. Champ Bailey looked really old.

I thought Denvers defense looked but ya, I have no idea why they even let Bailey go one on one with Smith. He has been putting vets on their heals all season long. He will be getting doubled next week but then that leaves more room for Bolden, Dixon, Pita, Rice and Leech. Really we used to get excited when he had maybe two good pairs of hand on the team.

Also, yes, Buck is a total goob, but Troy is the man. Fox is so much better at presenting football than the so-called Tiffany Network. Give me Troy and Buck over Nance and Simms any day.

Thank goodness for that. Send Cheatin' Pete back home.
Now if JJ Watt can obliterate Brady this afternoon, that'll make for a good weekend.
