Didn't have a big rooting interest in the ATL/SF game. But I am VERY HAPPY that the Pats lost. Belicheat is such an ungracious **** that he can't even be bothered to show his face after he loses. And then you had Tammy trying to spike Ed Reed:

So happy that the Pats are kaput.

Rooting for the Ravens if only because Jim Harbaugh throws tantrums like a melodramatic baby:

Wow, what a game, WHAT A GAME!!!! haha

There are a lot os sports out there, but very few I feel can match or top the intensity of a game of football in the playoffs. The World Cup/Euro/Copa America can top it, but thats it. Every playoff match, for 3 straight weeks, is bound to be exciting, because every game is make it or break. The series games like in basketball and baseball, may provide the excitement, but its spread thinner by being over almost a week. However in the nfl, its all about those famous four quarters!

Wow, they are presenting the afc trophy in the lockerroom. Damn, the presentation feels very intimate. I mean, its in their lockeroom!!! Definately more personal then a big huge stage! Damn, Ray Lewis is as natural leader as they come. I can't help but feel that the Ravens are going to absolutely destroy the niners. I mean all credit to San Fran, but I can't help but feel that this is all Ravens. Hehe, if I'm wrong, I get a feeling it will be because Kaepernick was meant to be as legendary as Montana and Young.

By the way...you can't write these stories either, can you? The Haraugh brothers meeting in the Superbowl!

During the game too, I don't know if it was some luck or skill. Maybe I didn't know thats how good the Ravens are. However, the Patriots got very close to scoring on more than one occasion, and I believe it was a four and out and two turnovers. I mean, I don't know how any more convincingly a defense can shut a team down. Also, my Chicago Bears have a good, physical defense, but the Ravens defense seems smarter. The right plays and reads at the right time. I mean, the who team just played so well, it seems unfair to single out certain names. However, I will say this: Anquan Boldin: too big, too fast, too strong, too good.....and there is only one other person they say that about hehe

So shocked and disappointed at the poor play of the Pats. SMH. We were just off the entire night. I am happy for Ray Lewis. Maybe he'll go out like Jerome Bettis -- In style with a championship victory. I only wish Tony Gonzalez of the Falcons could have been given the same chance. Hard to believe he won the first playoff game of his career just last week! Kaepernick is special.

The "Har-bowl" should make for a very good Superbowl. Maybe next year Pats. Please upgrade the defense. In big games they play scruby. And after doing so, pay the good players so they'll stick around.

And my prayers go out to Ridley. That hit was vicious. He was out before he hit the ground. Pollard got us again! I hope nothing like that happens in the Superbowl.

@Brockolly That Harbaugh tantrum was classic.

EDIT: And I give credit to Joe Flacco. He kept his cool the entire game and the playcalling favored the quarterback, he played well. The Ravens deserved this one. Beat us handily.

I don't think it could POSSIBLY get any worse for Steelers fans. Maybe if it was Packers-Ravens. But having to root for the Ravens? Maybe this will spark our team next year to see the Rats win it all. What an awful year for the Nation.

Back to 5-5 for my post-season picks. I'm slightly rooting for the 49ers, but I really don't care anymore. I love both teams and both teams deserve the trophy. I'm just glad Belicheat and Tom Wuss is out of the picture. Good riddance. A good Superbowl with Pittsburg, Pats, Dallas, and Greenbay out of the picture. I'd say this last game isn't going to be close. One team will just jump all over the other. I'm guessing a 20 point victory of one team over the other. I'm going 49ers, though.

Can we now stop the "Brady is the best QB ever" nonsense?

Brady definitely deserves to be in the discussion though. Its pretty much impossible to decide who is best, way too subjective. I'd go with Marino.

Haha...my dad loves to talk about Dan Marino lol. But in all seriousness, Tom Brady is a great quarterback, definitely amongst the best. Reading the defenses, good decision making, a strong, accurate arm, etc. He is almost always on the money. He has also won 3 superbowls hehe

btw, that Kaepernick apparently threw 94 mph in high school. well....it shows ツ

edit: Just saw this    No wonder Atlanta were so preoccupied with stopping Kaepernick on the ground. However, he's what you get when you combine a qb with a rb! hehe

double edit: (I just cannot shutup about the niners lol) I hope they wear their red home jerseys. Those look super nice ^.^ Dam...I wish this weekend was the Superbowl

Awesome video! I was one of the idiots that thought Harbough was stupid for putting in Kaepernick over Smith. I regret second-guessing Harbough; it was the right decision. I think Smith would've messed something up in the post-season and lost the first play-off game against Greenbay. I'm wondering where Smith will go next season, if he does end up being traded.

Yuuup...no problem Everest.

I mean, it doesn't matter what sport it is, but confidence is everything. I was lucky enough to see the second half of the Bears at San Fran on Monday Night football, and he was clinical. That had to be such a tough decision for coach Harbaugh, but I think its good that he went with the hot hand. Just on seeing him in that match, you could tell Kaepernick was no ordinary quarterback. He's got wisdom beyond his years and has the mark of a true leader. My friend mentioned that Kaepernick is still pretty much a rookie....but Kaepernick is ready. I feel like he just won't get the jitters and he'll just go out there and play. Man...I want his jersey now lol.

Smith....hmmm. I think he might stay with the niners, but if he wants to play, which I feel he is entitled to, the Bears should pick him up. Cutler is not good enough.

I don't know if Mordor got completetly destroyed...but it was certainly a mighty blow. Ray Lewis as Gandalf lolololololololololololol omg that was a good one haha

Ehh...he's had a lot of bad losses in the playoffs the past 6-7 years...4 times his team was a signficant favorite.  Don't get me wrong, he's a franchise QB in any era, but if we're going to get on Manning's case for mediocre playoff performances, Brady is now in that club.

I don't know, isn't the term 'significant favourite' an oxymoron these days. I'd give ya the 16-0 loss, but the Pats got screwed by David Tyree. I'm still expecting something horrible to happen to the Giants as karmic retribution for that. Its a team game and Brady hasn't gotten much help, just as Manning wasn't getting much help when his Colts kept losing.

I understand though. Its very annoying the way the media acts but as one of Peyton Manning's biggest defenders it would be hypocritical of me not to defend Brady now.

Plus, Aaron Rodgers is better than both of them anyway. #fanboy

More so in today's game, sure, significant favorites aren't nearly as sure things as twenty years or so ago.

I hate the Giants and am convinced they've led the league in luck ever since Parcells coached, but the thing about that Superbowl is that the Patriots and Brady didn't play particularly well (in fact, they didn't play well at the end of the regular season either) so they put themselves in a position where a fluke play could beat them.  And the greatest QB of all time can't get resoundedly beat by Mark Sanchez at a home playoff game.

I do agree that Rodgers is better than Manning and Brady.  But Montana deserves the media accolades he gets.  Dude never threw an interception in 4 Superbowls and had only 1 bad postseason game.

Montana is probably the best quarterback of the post-merger era, although for QB's currently playing I'd have to hand the title to Brees or Peyton. The nice thing about Montana is that he's not a d-bag, like certain other quarterbacks or even former players from his teams (*cough*Rice*cough) come off as. Nor is he crazy, like Haley (although Haley is also a pretty affable guy in his retirement and it's a travesty he's not in Canton yet).

Anyways, this really wrapped up nicely. Skins out in the first round, Patriots out in the AFC Championship, Pittsburgh and New York never even made the tournament. I'm down with the Harbaugh Bowl, so long as the Niners don't actually win it all. So I guess I'm rooting for the Ravens.

I would never argue that Montana isn't a legend but the guy played on numerous dream team's throughout his career.

I've heard some crazy stories about Haley, if even half of them are true I can see why he gets passed over. Sports writers are idiots though, I never understood why they have any input in Hall of Fame balloting, yearly awards, etc.

I know I know. I am the Ravens cheerleader in this thread but you do not have much to worry about.

Kaepernick has been impressive as a rookie (so was Sanchez, tebow and many others) he is not prepared. This defense does not take advantage of mistakes they lay out punishment for them.

As for the Quarterback debate there is more then Superbowl rings involved or Marino would not have the status he has. Even more now then back then the playoffs are rough. All one team needs is to have a good game and its over. Any given sunday.

I'll have to disagree with you on that one. I was never really impressed by Sanchez or Tebow, but Kaepernick shows experience much beyond his years...and athletically, well...I think he's got what it takes ^.^

Personally, I feel its going to come down to who develops the better game strategy. The Ravens have a great defense, the likes of which I am convinced San Fran has not seen. However, San Fran has a lot of weapons on offense, and if they utilize them effectively...watch out! It depends on how the Ravens play the Niners. Do they try and contain Kaepernick like Atlanta did...at the risk of freeing up recievers downfield? It will be very interesting to see how the Ravens will defend them. I have no doubt that they will be up to the task though.

I really think the oddsmakers have it wrong on this one. The Ravens in my eyes are the favorites to win, and the Niners are the underdogs. These Ravens, to go with something from baseball, are just on a role. I will be sincerely rooting for a good game. However...all those commercials though...I mean, some of them are funny, but I'm trying to watch a game here  -_-

Also, this almost goes without saying, but I hope the decider in this game is not turnovers. Turnovers can really kill any momentum a team has going, and hopefully they don't favor any team in particular. Ideally....it will be a close match...hopefully even with some over time! lol

edit: I forgot to add this, but I was rewatching some of the tape for the San Francisco Atlanta game, and San Francisco has a really good offenive line. I will need to rewatch and look at the defensive line for Baltimore. San Fran's O line afforded Kaepernick a good amount of time and created some big holes... what more could somebody ask for? ツ

Well I mentioned Sanchez and Tebow because of the media attention they are getting. Then there is Flacco (and the rest of the ravens team) 5 playoff showings in 5 years.

But I agree Keapernick has been showing something. One year (well 6 regular season games and made it to superbowl) is nothing to scoff at but its also nothing to bet on.

One side wants that epic showdown like the Denver vs Baltimore game. Double overtime and big plays. Then the Raven fan in me wants it over in the first half so I don't have to struggle thru a bad half-timeshow and commercials.

Yes San Fran has a good O line but the Ravens front shed blocks like no ones business. They are all healthy and looking for this. Not to mention that defense can not only force a turnover or pull it from no where, but the offense can capitalize on it. If its not a pick six then your looking at the least a field goal.

And I know I am the Ravens fanboy but like you said "on a roll" if they play like they have in the playoffs they will break the 49ers.

I do look forward to it because both those coaches are brilliant in their own right. I expect excellent 2nd half adjustments to be made.

haha...that Sanchez and Tebow dilemna. Well, the Jets have two household name QBs. The only problem is both suck. hahaha. Seriously though, neither is good enough for the NFL. While we are on the topic of the Jets... lol

Well addiction...let me offer you some advice. The media will hype and talk about stats and history and all that good stuff. They need something to talk about when there is nothing to talk about, right?  Watch your team and read articles from journalists whose opinion's you trust. Don't go reading into the past too much as a determinant of future events. This Ravens team is completely different then it was even from the start of the season. Look at form. Form is everything. A team that plays with discipline and heart can beat a team thats statistically better on paper. That's why when I hear 5 playoff games in 5 years or rookie in the Superbowl, I don't care/pay attention to those stats. Didn't Big Ben Roethlisberger win a Superbowl in his first or second year? Why, the Red Sox were down 3 games to none in the ALCS, and nobody had ever overcome that deficit. I read that Flacco doesn't read/watch anything about the analysis of his team's performance. If I am ever a manager, I will enforce that rule as well. Who cares what others say.

Yup..I do recall Baltimore's defensive line in their game against the Patriots, and they did a great job. Your Ravens have a great defense...probably the best defense in the NFL right now. Very intelligent and....they are just good at what they do ^.^

Haha addicted, at least you admit your bias, so its not that bad...dont trip. Yeah, I mean, the Ravens in their win were just so convincing. I think they did get a little lucky, what with the deflected pass and interception, but overall, they were very good. Like I said, I have them winning the Superbowl, but in these big games and the playoffs, you can never be too sure, can you?

I hope for excellent 2nd half adjustments to be made as well ^.^
