People still care about farming? Here's a fun fact, IRL, almost 30% of all food in the modern American grocery is made with corn and corn stuff. Another one that should concern you, did you know, in order to grow the worlds most grown grain, corn, that we have to use petroleum to grow it?! Yep. Synthetic Nitrogen ladies and gentlemen! Also note that probably 2-3 people alive today wouldn't be alive if it weren't all of that extra corn. Are we overpopulated maybe? Hmm.

So farming?

I've always just used the box as a fallback position. The whole team on one side of the map does help keep enemies funneling from one direction.

Honestly, I thought the old White and Glacier were pretty legit. New Glacier I don't really play too different, but the New White is so much harder because you have to keep repositioning.

I play PUG gold and platinum and actually see Giant far more often than Rio in platinum.

I kind of agree with the, host your own damn game if you don't want to do Rio guy. Otherwise, working as intended.

Banshees are supposed to be able to grab you no matter where you stand on the map. Box of shame needs to be blocked.

Since I can't find a platinum game without at least one missile glitcher I really don't have a problem with Rio campers, they seem to be a minor nuisance compared to the others.

A couple of times I've picked up ammo in this box, and a Geth Hunter stuck his arms and shotgun through the side wall of the box to kill me.  Geth Hunters aren't supposed to be able to do this.

With all the ways the enemies cheat in this game, I'd much rather BioWare focus on fixing them.  Rio farming (I didn't even realize such a thing existed) doesn't affect me in any way, shape, or form.  Enemy cheating does.

You can even play on Rio with your friends without farming, if you like.

Problem is even by selecting the firebase, the game puts you in Rio Reapers on Platinum most of the time. Playing with friends work if they're online at the exact same time as you are. This isn't case as people have different schedules and length of time they play.

To the people saying "who cares/play with friends/etc"... When these exploits keep me from playing Platinum in any way, shape, or form, that's why I support changes.

I can only play midnight to 6 am and my friends aren't usually on. When i try to pug a platinum game, 9/10 are Rio box volus affairs. The remaining 1 would be a missile glitcher. This has rendered an entire difficulty inaccessible to me.

Its a shame, because Platinum played legit is the most fun I have in this game. Too bad most people don't bother to play legit. Atleast UUG pugs are relatively free of cancers like this. Otherwise I probably would've shelved this game already.

I'm going to change my stance, I say let's remove the ammo crate and block up the box, I can't wait to see what excuse you come up with next. As far as I recall, she can still warp and warp bubble you while you're in the box, right now I've got you pegged as either preferring an audience over the fact that an ammo crate and a box are not needed to farm Platinum, or trollin' and with that am treating this thread accordingly, a joke.

Nobody is searching because it's not worth searching on Platinum due to missile glitchers, constant Rio Reaper, etc.

Don't. There's always going to be some corner of some map that's easy to camp in if you bring the right kit. Just don't bother.

Platinum's easy with a good team. I actually finished about 4 a couple of hours ago without camping. I had a great team, they knew what they were doing.

Nobody is searching because it's not worth searching on Platinum due to missile glitchers, constant Rio Reaper, etc. 

Ahh ok that makes a lot more sense in a lot less words than other posts in his thread of a similar nature. As for missile glitching on Rio, I've searched for a random Platinum 3 times, and 3 times in a row I've had to quit, losing my level 4 equipement along the way because all three times they were missile glitching.

I don't enjoy Platinum at all, when I don't have an obscene amount of consumables I'll stick to Silver where I don't need to use any and Gold is a lot of fun when I use consumables. I'm getting very close to 1k hours in this game and I'm still having fun playing with builds and playing with randoms, mostly.

The sheer irony of this thread being the number of people who just discovered you can farm Rio on Platinum.

Would I prefer to play on different maps? Yeah, that'd be nice. But I'll take a Plat match where I can get it, regardless of the map. When the servers close down, then I can come in here and cry that I can't play Plat anymore.
