I understand the concept. I saw Sy7ar's videos. I saw Stardusk use it. I saw Tankcommander use it. I saw Stentron use it.

Then the problem seems to be with your execution of said concept... I don't want to be a dick and tell you to L2P, but you're being a little silly...
My problem with the character is that I refuse to wallspam Smash... it gets me killed alot. Regardless, I refuse to sit there and hump a wall while spamming a power... it's why I hate Biotic Slash so much. When I started relying heavily on the melee and stopped trying to cause Biotic Explosions... I enjoyed the character more.

For sure.... they lack the fitness to stand up to the beating Smash can subject them to. Therefore... buff the base shields.

And speed. And 40% DR during Smash.
Now were talking Dragoon.

If all this is true then Bioware must buff the damage or take out the target limit.

But Dragoons lack: Lash, Biotic Charge, Singularity, Shields, Consumable Equipment and are stuck using a freakin' Hornet....

Certainly more than I do with their vanilla human counterparts.TheKillerAngel wrote...

My suggestions - at LEAST 10-12 meter range, at LEAST 2 meters wide, unlimited number of targets hit, and it should stagger everyone who touches you in the beggining of the animation when you drop your whips to the ground. Dragoon whips do that.

Yeah a bit more range would be nice. A little bit less cooldown would be nice too.Air Quotes wrote...

Phoenix classes are only good on small maps if you actually plan to frequently use Smash.
I doubt that will change even if you double the range of Smash.
At least you can smash trough some thicker cover. And it needs to hit more targets. Hitting a Ravager and doing no damage is fkn ridicilous.
But don't expect it to hit an unlimitted number of targets. Snap Freeze can only hit a maximum of 3 targets, for example.What.TheKillerAngel wrote...
Even if Smash is a boss killing ability, the Cerbguard is not a boss killer. Bosses all have some kind of stagger, dot, or massive damage, and the cerbguard is too squishy to absorb that sort of punishment. He's better at killing infantry.
My Cerb Adept burns through Banshees and Brutes like a hot knife through butter. On Gold. With 3 points in Fitness and no Cyclonics.
The problem is that it's only doable on a small map like White or Glacier, and preferably with other Biotics.
Perhaps they should buff the movement speed and HP of the Phoenix classes, so that they can get in close on large maps without dying, like Dragoons do.
