Not really impressed with the Beta tbh. Although the OST sounds gorgeous.
Really the only change I'm seeing in this game (from a MP standpoint) is the addition of the bow, and the fact that some perks are automatically equipped (like the air stomp or whatever the hell it's called).
The SP is probably a thousand times better, like in Crysis 2, but I'm not really seeing enough change to the game to make me want to buy it.

Downloaded the beta, this was the first Crysis game I've ever played. I'd say it was a bit more demanding on my laptop than most other games but still less demanding than Witcher 2.
Turning off motion blur, dialing all the settings down to "Low" or "Disabled" except Post Processing (Medium), Textures (Medium) AF (4x), and using FXAA instead of MSAA resulted in playable but slightly laggy frame rate at 1920x1080 and really smooth framerate at 1600x900, especially with tessellation disabled in Catalyst Control Center.
In contrast, Witcher 2 runs like a slideshow at 1080p and 900p, even with all settings completely dialed down, a bit more playable at 1280x720, but still pretty laggy.
I think Crytek did a great job with the art direction, and it looks excellent overall, but it was still along the lines of other games we've seen in the past few years. These two maps didn't look any better than RAGE, for example, which had some similar post apocalyptic urban levels that were absolutely stunning, but the idTech5 engine provides for much higher frame rates at 1080p on the same hardware.
As for the gameplay, it was OK, but not quite as fun as some other multiplayer shooters I've tried such as TF2. The Hunter missions were rather lame because either you are trying to just avoid dying, which is a bit boring, or you get killed and then you have a more fun objective, which is to kill the other players in stealth mode with Rambo bows, but if you did a good job by lasting a long time before getting killed, by the time you become a hunter there are only 10 seconds left in the mission.
The crash site missions were a bit more fun, but this game seems to be overly geared toward automatic rifles. When there's an option I prefer single shot weapons (sniper rifles, shotguns, pistols). Automatic weapons are rather boring, because you are just spraying everywhere and you don't have to aim very carefully. I think the automatic weapons in Crysis 3 are OP compared to the pistols and sniper rifles. Haven't tried the shotgun however.

I enjoy the beta. I am able to run it on high settings while recording with around 35-45 FPS. Hunter is a lot of fun with friends, but I kinda prefer Crash Site. Looking forward to the real deal.

You can single shot all weapons, Naughty. At least you could in 2. Saw my brother play Hunter Mode....freeze galore after matches.

As far as I'm concerned Crytek destroyed the storyline with Crysis 2.
I don't have high hopes for C3.

Was better than expected. Hunter mode was fun for like 5 games. Pretty fluid gameplay. Nothin new though, also ran smooth at Medium for me
I wish the beta testers would ptfo though, i was beating my teammates by like 1000 on crash site captures
