Hey,

I am having a little trouble with Dialouge in cutscenes. Basically I setup a scene where two guards are talking in a camp, I made a conversation file that held the conversation between the two on them. I shot up the cutscene, and then added an event, and then set one guard to speak a line. I choose the conversation file, and the line I wanted and set it. But when I went to set another line out the conversation  I realised that only the first line of the conversation made showed, and none of the others. Does anyone know how to work it? I would appreciate it if you shared.

Also, is there anyway you can cut down the length of spoken dialouge. I try dragging it with the black boxes to the desired end length, but it won't move, and stays stuck in the same position.

Thanks
- D

I would guess that you are doing the normal npc then pc responses in the dialogue editor? You probably to only have a series of npc responses I would guess.

I don't understand the 2nd question. more explanation is needed.

(You might have to split the long line into two lines?)

Ah sorry. What I mean is, the speak line, seems to go on for a long time, and in the cutscene tutorial screen shots it shows that they have shortened it to match there time. But with no explanation on how shorten the speak line. Unlike with animations, I can lengthen and shorten the animation. I can't seem to do that with the speak line.

and thanks i'll try those two things.

Quick thanks, I just made a line after the first NPC speech, and it now lets me choose that line aswell. Not to try the shorten speak line.

I don't think you can shorten it if you have a VO file attached to the dialogue (unless you modify the sound file: I'd worry about the chipmunk effect, though). You might be able to shorten it if you click the no VO option in the conversation file, which would mean you can lengthen or shorten the time the silent subtitles stay on the screen.

No such luok, but your probably right.. I created a shorter dialouge and the bar is shorter, so I guess it goes on length so that way VO can be applied correctly and the effects. I suppose I can work around it all.

Thanks
