Cassandra was not manly enough in DA2.

Are you kidding? I would totally take Lana Kane over any Dragon Age woman. Based on looks, anyway.goose2989 wrote...

Sweet. Anything that would disapoint the pro-mages is likely good news for me.David Gaider wrote...
I'd warn against leaping to conclusions about the context of what you will and will not be doing, and how potential companions might or might not be associating with you. It won't stop you, as it never has, but you're undoubtedly building yourself up to disappointment.
Who she seemed to have a crush on in DA2. So, if she is a LI, does that mean we will have options to be jealous of ourselves?TheLittleBird wrote...
I liked the way Cassandra looked.
And I'm absolutely positive she'll be a companion. I'm calling it now:
her personal quest line will be about Hawke!

First, TheLittleBird posted an hour before me so, I didn't necro the thread.LobselVith8 wrote...
You necro'd a thread to say you'll enjoy something if it specifically disappoints a specific group of people? You must really hate the pro-mage group, which is really sad.

You have not watched Dawn of the Seeker ?
There's a male mage that might disagree with you

If a woman ever kisses a man it blatantly means she is a wh0re who will eventually sleep with every man she comes into contact with. H#ll, they don't even need that prerequisite, they'll sleep with anyone regardless, even with each other.draken-heart wrote...

one kiss does not prove her to be romanceable for the PC.

I'd say most of the discussion in this specific forum focuses on hypothetical discussion, as opposed to leaping to conclusions.
That sounds fine. I get the impression sometimes from threads like this that such things are expectations and not hypothetical discussions. The example of a pro-templar or pro-Chantry companion was simply an example of how I don't think that a companion would work with a protagonist who went against their moral or ethical code.
Depending on what you're allowed to express in-game, as well as the context of your relationship with that companion, certainly.I suppose I could have used the example of Fenris: I genuinely don't see why Fenris would associate with a pro-slavery Hawke, who not only explicitly endorsed slavery, but kept Orana as a slave.
It caused a big rivalry jump (perhaps the biggest, I forget), but I don't think it would be a deal-breaker for him as you seem to. But so be it.

I thought Cassandra in DA2 looked great, and not "manly" (whatever that's supposed to mean). There's not only one way to look like a woman...
On some women. Not all women. Just like some men look good with long hair but not all of them. I like Cassandra's ponytail from Dawn of the Seeker and one of the featurettes from the dvd explains Cassandra was originally supposed to have longer hair in DA2, but issues with it clipping her armor and doing weird things in the lighting lead to the short hair decision. They were going for a Queen of the Damned look originally with long slicked back hair. So new game, new engine she could have long hair. She looks fine with short hair and it works with her transition from young Seeker to mature Seeker, but I wouldn't mind a long haired Cassandra.Arppis wrote...

Agreed on this. Short hair looks good on women too.

I never liked Cassandra. Everything Varric mentioned she was like "AHA! That explains it." I sent Bethany to the Wardens and that explains what went down in the Gallows and started a war between mages and templars? Ok, whatever you say lady.
I want her eyeliner texture available for the PCaedan901 wrote...
Make her more like in the animation, then in DA:2. I really hated how she looked in DA2, too manly for me,but for some reason in the animation she looked hawt...
Do you want to see Cassandra redesigned or do you want her to be more like in DA2 ?

First, TheLittleBird posted an hour before me so, I didn't necro the thread.
Second, you'll notice my post dealt with issues related to Cassandra which in On-Topic.
Third, It's neither a matter of hatred nor of me enjoying something just because the pro-mages are disapointed. It's a matter of Mr. Gaider's statement raising hope that DAI won't force me to fight for mage independence or anything similar.
After having no choice in how I dealt with Cerberus in ME3, that was good news for me. It's nothing personal, really.
