the galaxy has taken place. All species have developed new FTL drives that
replace the mass effect relays. Every species has been restored to their former
glory given the time apart between them. War is a real possibility as conflict
heats up between all species in the fight for expansion and resources. Every
species seeks to expand because of their numbers have grown over populated.
You play an average man or woman of whatever species you
like who has just joined their military and rise through the ranks over the
years and eventually become a powerful figure among your people or their worst
enemy. Choice being a large factor here that really matters. You control the
fate of your people and the fate of the universe within your hands. Or you
fight for personal reasons and go your own way outside of military. No single
species has the same story arc or the same ending.
You can for example choose to play a Krogan, make good or
evil choices, fight with your people or against them, choose team mates from
your own species or other species, fight for total rule of power, or fight for
personal gain. Ever wanted to be a pirate or a merc or the ruler of your
people? Become a leader or an ally of all or a destroyer of worlds or just
somebody who wants to make some credits. The choice would be yours. There are
all of the main factions of species, than there is the alliance, merc groups,
pirates, and finally the hostile factions. You choice a species and a side. The
alliance is the side of good and is for the preservation of all life, all
species to an extent have joined this. Divided species that are independent are
factions that are neutral at first until war sets in and they are forced to
fight. Hostile factions are out to rule the galaxy and take over as many
planets and resources as possible by whatever means they desire even if it
includes genocide.
Mercs are hired for missions to take place in the war and
are all for personal gain and you basically fight for whoever you want and just
get paid for what missions you want for any side. Mercs are simply hired to do
jobs and are neutral and they can decline missions and switch sides. Pirates
are a darker faction and are all for looting ships and stealing as well as
murder. Pirates do whatever they want to gain wealth and power. All species and
factions have their own advantages and disadvantages.
Since the events of ME3 all of the species have rebuilt
their worlds even the Krogan and Quarians. Since the recovery you get to see
what every species world really looks like in all their glory. Live among your
people and their technology. This includes Krogan cities and see them in a time
when they had spaceships and nuclear power or greater. See what Quarian cities
look like and what they actually look like without suits on even though it’s a tradition
to wear them some quarians wear regular cloths. Even see geth worlds and play as
them.
Ever wanted to be a Collector? So did I so why not have them
with their own story arcs and missions. I would like to see this as an unlockable
species. Collectors also mean Reapers. Play as an indoctrinated species out to
command the reapers to victory? Let’s also have that as an unlockable species.
This is just some of my thoughts on what a Mass Effect game I would like to see
created. Romances and story is more meaningful with always more than 2 choices
in a convo. Ever wanted to say what you really wanted? The convo wheel would
have more dialog and you can ask more direct questions and answers. The improved dialog
wheel will have at least 6 ways you can respond to each convo with totally
different results. You shape your own personality and fate this way through
your own character.
This is the Mass Effect that doesn’t hold back where you are
in total control of the fate of yourself and even the universe if you want. Personally
I have always wanted to be a Krogan, rise to power, rule over all Krogan, and
command them to set out to take over the universe by any means I desire. XD This
is just what I like to see the next Mass Effect game become and my ideas on it.
