SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS, LOTS OF SPOILERS WARNING

WITH SUGGESTION FROM MANY CONTRIBUTORS IN THE POST TO MAKE IT EVEN MEANIER

I was thinking to do a very mean playthrough, and with the help of many MEAN posters here we are thinking about this:

Male human mage:
MAIN WEAPON: a little sharp knife you hold on your back, wich you use to blind-stab people whenever a dialogue lines says (you kill him/her).

To start in a good mood kill the spirit knight during the harrowing and betray jowan. That is only a small taste af what we will do.

In Ostagar kill the prisoner that begs for food to obtain the key of the mages chest. And even if this might strange, TAKE THE DOG, he will be your only friend.

In the wilds kill the wounded soldier.

In Lothering pick up leliana and leave sten in the cage to be killed by darkspwan (don't forget to tell the child his mother is DEAD and will never return for him). Help the merchant and skip the quests to help people. You can also try to kill the people outside the church, but you will only scare them.

After lothering go straight to redcliffe, refuse to help the town, leave the town and come back with everyone undead, make your way to the castle, do the pact with the demon, learn blood magic and specialize (do NOT specialize in blood magic BEFORE talking to the demon even if you unlocked it in previous playthrough) FIRST DEMON ROAMING FREE IN FERELDEN.
Before NOT HELPING people in redcliffe you can do a lot of MEAN STUFF, like asking sex to the young girl as a reward to have found her brother WHILE  keeping the nice sword for you, you can kill the smith, and you can even mess and kill the bartender.

After KILL zevran (all other choiches have been discarded, just kill him on the spot)

Then go to soldier's peak, side with sophia and let her go SECOND DEMON ROAMING FERELDEN

Then go to the circle, pick up wynne, don't use the lithany and make uldred kill irving, after the final battle wynne will tell gregoir you are a blood mage and you will admit that (don't forget to buy as many lyrium as you can afford before), then kill wynne and all the templar: result: there's no mage and no templar left in the tower and you killed wynne as well. You will get neither templar or mage army.

Give the grimoire to morrigan, go to flameth hut and do the deal with her: you lie to morrigan telling her flemeth died, she fells in love with you and probably beds you as you have been mean!!!!

Then go pick up shale, but let the demon cat go: THIRD DEMON ROAMING FERELDEN

Then go to orzammar, side with HARROWMONT (a lot of discussion about that in the forum, we ended up thinking harrowmont is worst choiche in regard of dwarfven society future), be mean with everyone, tell the mother to leave the child in the deep road, BUT help the priest to develope the chantry, sell the shaper book to the thief. Also kill the tainted scavenger and go back to his mother telling he deservd to die. Pick up oghren and be sure to have shale in your party. Side with branka: shale get mad and attacks you and dies. And thanks to a MEAN poster advice, don't forget to let the fade demon go away. FOUR DEMONS ROAMING FERELDEN

Go to brecilian, buy as many elf root as you can afford, side with the hermit, befriend the werevolves and do a little dalish carnage. You can do MEAN things in the elf camp, like finding the hunter bride turned into werevolf and kill her, have sex with young lady and then go to her pretender telling him she is more experienced now are two examples.

Then be sure to have leliana in your party, go to the urn, side with kolgrim, taint the ashes and guess what? leliana get mad and you kill her. Don't forget to kill kolgrim and the high dragon too. And ah, DON'T FORGET TO KILL GENITIVI.

Go to denerim, be mean with everyone, in the enclave don't help anyone, don't go to orphanage and leave it infested, then sacrifice all the elves to get contitution points.

Before landsmeet be sure to be MEAN with oghren and mess up his love story, he will leave (can you kill him?) Thanks again for a MEAN poster for that

Now you are: you, morrigan who probably is completely in love with you and alistar that probably hates you so much.

in landsmeet side with loghain, have alistar arrested an killed, don't do the pact with morrigan: she will leave without knowing flemeth is still alive and hopefully she will use morrigan's body in the future. before that make morrigan make as many  mana and health potions you can.

Now it's you, loghain and the dog plus werewolves, and golems, and stubborn redcliffe knights that want to help you so much even if you was very mean and did not care about the little undead slaughtering taking place there.

Switch difficulty to normal, leave the dog to guard the gates and go with loghain to defeat the archdemon. Make loghain sacrifice.

ENDING: anora is queen in a badly messed up ferelden, with circle of magi and templar order to rebuild, dalish camp destroyed, and orzammar ruled by mean king doing golems from dwarves. 4 demons are roaming the land too.

That's a good savegame to start the new expansions in an happy mood

You didn't let the demon in the Deep Roads go free. How can you forget him?

Sounds possible, lol. Not sure about using Loghain as the sacrifice, but nice if you could.

I have never played like that so I can't say, but the things you mention (except the Loghain sacrifice thing) are things that can happen in the game - So far I've heard.

Just one thing about your plan - the expansion is also in Ferelden.

OR ... in killing Connor, you get two birds with one stone as Isolde will die in the epilogue. She gets pregnant again, but dies in childbirth. Depends on which scenario is the greater of two evils in your opinion.

To be eviler, make Harrowmont king, and also have the chantry start up.

Yes, the mean route is with Harrowmont as king.

My good character did not help expand the chantry in Orzammar, I don't know why you would think that refusing to help them is evil. The chantry is actually just about as mean as you are.

LOL - you had Lelianna die twice in your example - you left her in Lothering to die at the hands of darkspawn, so how did you kill her at the Urn??

You read it wroing: "In Lothering pick up leliana and leave sten in the cage to be killed by darkspwan (don't forget to tell the child his mother is DEAD and will never return for him). Help the merchant and skip the quests to help people."

Zevran will not attack you if you side with the Dalish. Hell, i don't even think you lose rep (I didn't anyway, when I told him in camp about it). So if you want him dead, kill him when you meet him, or don't ever talk to him so he sides against you when Taliesen shows up during Landsmeet.

I was thinking to do a very mean playthrough, do you know if it's possible?

...insert lots of evil here, etc etc...

Do you think it's possible?

Very impressive, although I think it might be more evil to harden Alistair, make him marry Anora and sacrifice Loghain.  That way he's stuck in a loveless marriage and left to clean up your mess :P

I had no idea that Wynne would turn you in as a blood mage at the circle if you didn't save Irving :o

But skipping so many quests (i.e. all the board quests) how do you even level up? You would finish the game at like 15.

I must admit that I would have trouble play a character so... cruel, and I know that I will probably never see some of these options, since, for one, I know I could never side with the Werewolves. I'm an elf-fan :D

To lose Oghren, do his personal quest to reunite with his old flame at Lake Calahad. He'll ask for you to back him up, but you can royally screw him over, pissing him off enough to leave.

My bad - when I'm being mean I leave them both in Lothering, though it takes more than one attempt to leave Leli - she is so stubborn!

Ahhhh, thank you so much for your replies!!!!!

Yes, in a way is more cruel to let the chantry in orzammar develope

Ohhhh, i forgot the fade demon in the deep roads: FOUR DEMONS ROAMING FERELDEN

Thank you for suggestion on Oghren, i did not know you can mess his love story

Thank you about zevran, i thought he would attack me if i sided with the werevolwes since in a playthrough i sided with them but he wasn't in my party and when i talked back to him at camp he was pissed off of my little elf carnage

since i never sided with branka, wich king takes more profit about golem making: harrowmont or belhen?

And regardin connor: iof you kill him it means you did not do the pact with the demon, and this prevents you from messing up the circle and wynne. in my current playthrough i specialized in blood magic at 7 'cos i unlocked it in previous walkthroughs, and i did the broken circle line as blood mage but BEFORE i made a pact with the demon and wynne says nothingabout your forbbidden knowledge. i also specialized HER in blood magic but she is ok with that. So the only way to mess the circle is to be a mage, go to connor fade, make pact with demon and AFTER specialize in blood magic and do the circle storyline.

Maybe i will update the first post with all your info to keep the meaningness higher, lol!!!

Ah, and BTW, a walkthrough like that is not for just the sake of it, you can actually roleplay that.

Your PC is thinks like flemeth: she is mean but the blight would destroy her too, so fighting the blight does not mean that you are a good person, you can also be selfish an looking only for personal pleasure and knowledge, but you end up fighting the blight becouse that would destroy you too.
