now that RTO will be out soon need to add leaving Cailian's body for the darkspawn to have there fun with or the other option is to take his body down for the wolves to eat, either one works.

You can see this if you put Harrowmont on the throne and save the anvil, he begins raiding the surface for humans and elves to enslave as Golems. Bhelen doesn't do that.

That is what i wanted to know, so be Harrowmont our MEAN king.

And sry for bad grammar, i'm not native english as you have already guessed Posted Image

I'm not sure, but I think Harrowmont + Branka = later conflict that completely severs Orzammar from the surface world, both culturally and physically.

Paint me quite disgusted. I honestly wonder why someone would feel the need to completely ruin the story of this game with such trivialities, but to each their own, I guess.

Well, in my opinions the MEAN actions are not "trivialities", i actually RP them.

Also i think it's amazing that you CAN behave like that in a pc game. So if you choose the GOOD way it's better becouse you know you were not FORCED  to be good like in many other games, and in DA:O behaving good is most of the time not so clear and mean hard choices and sacrifices.

Also being that MEAN is not easy, and personally i never saw a single player rpg that can be roleplayed that deeply, but maybe i miss something.

What is this fade demon in the deep roads you speak of?

you find pieces of a quest item in the deep road and you can take them to a alter in the deep roads to unleash a demon whom you can then set free for gold or kill.

What's the name of this quest? I don't even recall ever hearing about it :(

Quest is "Asunder"

Thanks Ygolnac for this great thread!  It was hard to bring myself to squish my favorite Shale's head, but I managed to overcome my niceness.    I'm impressed how much extra content Bioware put in for these vile choices.

Looks like Broken Circle can get bugged when you murder everyone since Arl Eamon will not let you progress.  I tested the console command to jump to Landsmeet and it looks like it might work OK to bypass the stuck point (need to continue playing tomorrow to confirm).

At the point you are ready for Landsmeet:   runscript zz_den_debug

Pick:  1. Jump to plot point, 1. Jump to start of Landmeet plot.  Be sure to keep separate saves just in case!

Also, I think leaving Kolgrim and "Andraste" alive is more mean since they will build the cult back up and kill anyone innocently investigating.  Maybe they'll expand, who knows ... more suffering for Denerim!

Oh, and leaving Flemeth and Kangax alive makes it SIX DEMONS ROAMING FERELDEN!

I murdered Kangax because I wanted his shield, so now I'm only Evil, Junior.

People have solod the game on nightmare.  You should be able to do it with a Mage PC and Loghain on Normal, and you do still have an army, you just have no Templars or Mages.

I've done evil playthroughs before, but I never think them through this much :P

Just some more MEAN acts to add to the list:

Before setting off for the werewolves' ruins while doing the Dalish quest, be sure to sleep with Gheyna, Cammen's love, and then tell him that she's now more experienced. He'll run away in tears.

/edited for spelling

The best thing about Sleeping with Gheyna? Wynne has a +7 approval rating when I do this....

I think everyone forgot to mention killing the elven messenger in Ostagar. Just say "Yes" when he asks if he is in trouble and go from there. Cant remember the full route to his death but was kinda funny when i did it since I was also an elf :)

Oh, forgot this also.   Side with the merchant in Lothering and you can still kill him for fun.  Morrigan loved it and of course Alistaire thinks im psychotic :)

I wish there were more demons to let go just so I could read "SEVEN DEMONS ROAMING FERELDEN!"

Makes me laugh every time.

OH I don't remember if this is there, but what about the desire demon that takes over the templar? The one in the Circle that gives him a family?
Are there FIVE demons roaming Ferelden now? Ooh, I'ma go re-read the original post to see if it's there.

Edit:
Nope, you forgot that part.
FIVE DEMONS ROAMING FERELDEN!

I had trouble with this one myself.  I took the first spell in Blood Mage and cast it a lot in the final battle, plus I had to save Irving.  Once finished, I told Wynne she could join me, and then she started the dialogue to reveal me.

I was using a mod called Dialogue Tweaks, from DA Nexus, that either made it work at all (mod author says the BM dialogue is broken ...) or made it so I had to do it differently than Ygolnac described.   Might also be why my game got stuck on Broken Circle quest.  /shrug.

Could it be perhaps that you actually have to trigger the Blood Mage unlock rather than just taking Blood Mage?

I know one player that did it without saving Irving, despite it bugging out on their run (Eamon refused to accept the templar/mage quest had been completed), one of the devs confirmed to me that it should be viable. Course the really great thing about this is... you get to kill Cullen too

Edit: I'm working on a playthrough at the moment, whereby I did Redcliffe first and killed Isolde off to 'unlock' the blood magic (even though I already had it unlocked) for that playthrough just to be sure that this should work. When it comes to the fight with Uldred, I'll probably use it a fair bit to hopefully get the event to trigger. Am just going to be a bit annoyed if it bugs out, last thing my mage wants is them annoying templars still standing.

I can't really bring myself to create an 'evil' PC, but Cullen definitely needs killing. I see it as an act of mercy, the guy goes completely over the edge after the attack on the tower. It truly startled my mage, and made her (and me) cringe.

Of course, the epilogue about Cullen's behavior more or less confirms that some people just need killing. (My mage opted for the pro-mage boon)

I don´t like to play like that, but I´d love to kill Cullen. Can you do that without the mages dying?

Nope. At least I don't think so. I saved the mages 3 or 4 times so far and tried different dialogue options, but none of them ended with a dead Cullen.

You know, for a truly evil and mean playthrough, the game should have included an option for the PC to choose to either side with the Archdemon or take on/become the Archdemon in the final stages.

The celebrations after the final boss would have been interesting.
