If the Mage Rebellion has a face, what sort of person do you think they should be?

That's just not as funny in the Kirkwall Circle.secretsandlies wrote...

I share your opinion of Dawn of the Seeker(I found it difficult to keep watching it) and Redemption(the low budget was too distracting). Hell, I pretty much universally find game spin-off stuff to be underwhelming at best, so I can understand your trepidation.MR_PN wrote...
haven't read it... im too wary of stuff outside of the game. dawn of the seeker was bad and redemption wss just too.. cheap.
In spite of that, I really enjoyed all three of the novels. Each one was progressively better than the one before it, and Asunder really sets up the conflict that's coming in DA3. I'm actually hoping David Gaider writes more.

Dragon Age 2 Destiny Trailer hint on that, where in flashback is show a pack of girls in robes carrying the same staff like Flemeth and then being surrounded by knights with shields bearing symbols of Templar Order.

Obviously Anders. If he isn't dead. Then Rhys, if he isn't dead. And then maybe Fiona. Or Flemeth?

Anders will not be the leader because he could be dead in various playthrough. Regardless, I'd prefer if the mage leaders aren't abomination (or person with a corrupted spirit inside them, which can influence them, if you prefer this definition). Even the magisters in the Imperium (as far as we know) don't have spirits/demons inside them. It's dangerous, and I'd never trust a position of leadership to such a person.
I'd be fine with Fiona or Rhys (I think it'd be the former, since she was the highest ranking mage, though maybe the mages would decide themselves who should lead them after the separation).

1) The one who shouts louder than everyone else, because no one else can get a word in.
2) The charismatic leader who is followed due to being inspirational.
3) The compromise candidate who is chosen because various factions won't agree to having their opponent's leader as overall leader of the movement.

Is that so? How old is he? 30-40? and a rebel no less. bad choice.
Much older I'd say. Maybe even 70s, certainly approaching the end of his life IMO.

However Connor Guerin would be great. Too bad he can be killed. I still think he woudl be great. He went throught a lot, got better and. His background as noble and as mage who suffered a lot makes him guite a compelling candidate. But if he was saved by a warden - he can now uderstand both sides - the danger and the reason - or more that if someone understands you and helps you problems can be solved.
And because there is always an option to kill a mage, it can get very complicated. So I guess someoene from books or someone new.

Based on Asunder, Fiona will probably be the leader of the rebellion, by virtue of being the former Grand Enchanter of the Circle. I'm not sure she has much of a paternalist streak though. Being an elf combined with a mage likely gives her a not very benevolent view of the common human. Rhys might fit your description better, and he'll at least wield some influence.
Good pick. She is also King Alistair's mom.

Man, take it easy on the facts. I don't think many people could take that sort of SPOILER in the face.

I'd also want them to be very disdainful of anyone who's prepared to stop fighting in exchange for later bedtimes and a promise that no Templar will enter a mage's room without express invitation. To always push for complete and total freedom and accept no compromises on that point.
