Let's not forget the Mission Handler saying that there's an enemy person of interest on the field and it turns out to be a husk.
Seems squirrelly to me, but you know, maybe I just don't know, you know? Maybe the Rippas are just very tactical, very strategic.

You never know, maybe that husk use to be a general or defense minister and the reapers want to retrieve it because it's got some secret codes stored away in it's brain somewhere. That was always my rationalisation anyway.
