Whenever a turian says "amateur" because I accidentally shot him. It often turns out to be rather ironic.

Slightly off topic, but everytime James Vega says they've been decimated something dies inside me.
"Decimation (Latin: decimatio; decem = "ten") was a form of military discipline used by officers in the Roman Army to punish mutinous or cowardly soldiers. The word decimation is derived from Latin meaning "removal of a tenth". A unit selected for punishment by decimation was divided into groups of ten; each group drew lots (Sortition), and the soldier on whom the lot fell was executed by his nine comrades, often by stoning or clubbing.[citation needed] The remaining soldiers were given rations of barley instead of wheat and forced to sleep outside the Roman encampment."

They would have been relatively well off if the Reapers were only decimating them.

his word was: decimated (note the ed at the end) there are various interpretations but the word has a somewhat different meaning namely if something is decimated it is being separated into 10 parts. In other words the turian's are being torn apart.

From exactly the same Wikipedia page you're quoting from:

Current usage of the word
The word decimation is often (counter to historical use) used to refer to an extreme reduction in the number of a population or force, much greater than the one tenth defined by the "deci" root. It is frequently used as a synonym for the word "annihilate" which the OED lists as meaning "to reduce to non-existence, blot out of existence"

Spose it's not dumb/cheesey.. more confusing.

FQs shouting 'Hunters!', regardless of faction.
Even if it's wave9 Reapers... I still sometimes check as a reflex..
