Yeah MP is better by several folds. Given the disappointing handling of the end of the trilogy (whether the ending is good or bad it's debatable, but there is no arguing in the fact that is was handled very poorly), I'd say MP kept the franchise alive for me. Otherwise I'd have uninstalled the game a long time ago.

I must confess I'm a pervert - still haven't played single player beyond new EDI meeting. Partly because translated version was crap, but also because... Just want to play most DLCs in one go and not get back to the game every few times a new one comes out. So it's been multiplayer for me for now.

My thoughts (mostly) in bold. I have actually started playing DAII again rather than complete my second SP playthrough.Stardusk wrote...

I have to say yes.
Despite some great moments and set pieces to the SP side of things, there are a number of grievances that I feel are lacking/lackluster. One of which has put me off from playing the SP campaign again.
The MP side however has steadily grown, changed and I feel there's a lot less for me to complain about. That might be because it's less complex and more focused than Singleplayer.

Yes, but only because the f*cked up the ending so badly.

Wise words here. I've played mp insane amounts compared to sp, so I'd say mp was better. I have played sp only once and haven't even played the extended cut yet. I will play sp again when every remaining dlc has been published. At the moment it just feels that mp doesn't offer me the same excitement it used to. I'm having a break from it and don't really feel the need to get back. For the first mp it has been great, but I will expect the next masseffect mp to be much more complete game at the start. I will have high expectations and will also decide very early, do I proceed playing it madz amounts of time or do I totally quit in the beginning.

You really can't compare the two, they have completely different purposes.

Three playthroughs with 3 different classes. Then I went for an Insanity playthrough, just for completionist's sake. It was bloody easy after hours of MP, but then I met Marauder Shields at the beam. Haven't touched SP since then.
Yes, I only play MP now - but I bought this game for the SP and unlike many other people I don't think the end (including Extended Cut) destroyed the whole trilogy and the gaming series as such. It was still my favourite gaming experience in the last couple of years and I'm sure I'll enjoy a smooth SP playthrough again someday.

Me2 sp was way better than me3 sp so why bother? I didn't though my brother did and said it was poor. Only reason I bought me3 was the multiplayer, played the crap out of the demo and when me4 comes out I cant wait to see what new features multiplayer has, as for sp I will most likely skip it as I am only buying me4 for the new improved multiplayer

So far and as a whole, mp saved Mass Effect 3 for me.

I did not want MP at all when ME3 came out. Period.
After playing the 3 levels of the Demo in record time, I decided to try the MP. On game one I was hooked. Totally fun as can be.
As soon as I played the retail version of ME3, I went back to MP with some gusto. I had a blast - and still prefer the MP to the SP game.
I feel that SP was a huge let down. The story left a lot to be desired. But MP, now that is some pretty good fun - even to this day.

sorry for my english
sp is not bad, just can't stand the paragon with ME1 and 2.
people were expecting a diamond, and have recieved same glass...
character does not have any deep psicological aspect. In ME2 i have spent most of the time just talking with solus, legion and all the company, exploring all the different lines and beeng amused by how well written were their dialogue.
In ME3 i just skip all the dialogue (after 20 "had to be me" and 50 "problematic" i just wonted to kill that puppet and look around to find the thrue solus).
the MP is just 10 wave of monsters to kill, but you can have so many approch to the match that any time you play is thruly different from the one before.
I'm here since day one, only because MP team made something so great to make me get over the shamefull work of the SP team (whitch just killed one of the best game in history (and i'm not talking about the ending)).

Other than using the ME universe, they are two different animals.

MP used to be better than the single player but now it's far worse thanks to all the balance changes, bugs and crummy connections.

There are some room for this game that need to be polished.
1. FB Glacier, do you know that i really love exploration, but they just give us small room.I always thinking that there is something bigger on the other side of this small map.....
2. Rannoch Mission...I really want to explore this planet instead just finish the mission.
3. Tuchanka, same as Rannoch problem
4. Sur'Kesh, same as above
5. Menae, same as above.
6. Thessia...same as Above.
FOr multiplayer it's nice to get play as other races and re-specthe characters as much as I want

I wouldn't necesarily say that MP was/is than SP.
It's just that SP was, objectively speaking, different from its predecessors. MP was probably a welcome surprise for many who tried it.
And free DLC. How can I complain.

The multiplayer greatly exceeded my expectations where single player left me a little dissapointed. I really didn't expect that to be the case.

The two things aren't related at all. How do you compare them?
ME3 SP was great. I didn't like the ending but I'm not having life crippling emotional meltdowns about it and it didn't ruin the whole franchise for me.
ME3 MP is also great - and very shockingly so I must say. I'm not an MP guy but the cooperative nature of the MP really helped get me into it.
