We may be getting one old favorite but how about this (Bioware and EA I think you will like this) no matter who the one old favorite is there are going to be people who are unhappy, it is just the ugly truth. So here is what you do make each one of the old companions available DLC and the user can decide how much they really want to continue their quest with Zeveran or Leliana etc.
This provides you the company with two good things customer satisfaction and a better bottomline. I would be willing to pay 5-7 dollars for an old companion of my choosing,
Except Dog, he should just be included because it can't possibly be that hard to write code for him. Also you shouldn't charge for Shale again that would just be evil.
Also more unique looking armors and a better variety of them. I love armors like Wade's Drakescale but the first two were the same color. May I suggest taking a page from fable II and allow the user to pain their own armor?
Oh and being able to augment shields and bows. You can use talents to hit foes with shields so why not be able to augment them? As for bows I hate having to go into the pause menu and selecting fire or ice arrows, why not be able to augment your bow so when a arrow hits it dishes out dame from that augment. I would be will to specifically for bow augments in place of arrows.
